Unbelievable. I had tests done in January. He got sick next appt. Then he was sick still. I got sick and its March. I first thought no news is good news. My symptoms of losing total breath and getting dizzy when i bend over or use my upper body were scary. I have had a very physical job for a long time. So when this started i also started it was out of nowhere. I also started getting an awful rash on my upper back. Then it spread to my shoulders, upper chest, right arm, then front right shin. Terrible itching, and burning. After surviving stage 4 melanoma i learned knowledge is power when it comes to your health. MOST doctors appreciate that. So i looked up my test results on line that Dr Zagler had done. I have never just finished at 80 % on the treadmill.to him that was normal. What??? Very concerning to me. Borderline but concerning. I texted Dr Zagler thru their portal. I explained to him that i was writing this so that i wouldnt forget and wanted to discuss each borderline result. The first thing he did was come into the room and started using his fingers on his palm like a computer and laughing at me. He said he read my text and basically he said it was over board, and i should not have googled my tests. Thats no good. I told him i survived stage 4 melanoma by learning wverything i could about it. My oncologist loved it. We worked together on my cancer.FYI my doctor was the head if the JOHN WAYNE CANCER INSTITUTE IN santa Monica Calif. He was also John Waynes doc and was to many other high profile stars and people. I say this because he always made me feel like i was his only patient. He loved my absorbing knowledge of my disease.i didnt tell any of this to dr zagler. I just wanted to clarify my own doctor to the readers here. I didnt just fall off the turnip truck. Back to Dr Zagler. He laughed again and said meekly ypur tests are just borderline. I wanted to see why and what and have him explain to me what they were. explained. He again started laughing doibg the finger thing and started saying, ypur heart is fine. Your geart is fine. Still making fun of me. I drive 31/2 hours each way for my appointments. I asked him why i had these symptoms. He said he didnt know. I was dumbfounded. Yhen he said u used to smoke maybe ur lungs. I asked if he could suggest anyone. Or anywhere knowing that his clinic and lung are together at the methodist hosp. He said he didnt know. I have had 2 appts at Methodist because of earings and these were both so shocking I am dumbfounded. I will add that i am a photographer for a very famous band and haul heavy camera equipment all over the world. These symptoms are very concerning.

Sensible and smart
Dr. Zagler did a status of my heart health, a year after I recovered from Covid. We already knew I had a heart condition with limited options. He had read all my records and he listened to my take on how I had gotten worse and better with certain meds. His advice was exactly right for my medical plight, as my numbers have never been better, and he is my favorite of cardiac MDs.

Terrible experience!
Horrible patient service. Canceled appointments (4) the morning of the appointment . Lost days of work with these cancellations. They cancelled all future appointments when I requested my records. Stay away from this office.

Horrible doctor, he used my health to make money by doing an unwarranted procedure that left me with permanent damage, and lied in records about opening an artery that before and after photos showed was not opened - this was verified by another cardiologist. Another physician protected by New Mexico's corrupted Medical malpractice act that was put together by doctors, travelers insurance company and self serving attorneys. I would have given him a zero star - stay away from him.

Although Dr. Zagler's care has been fine, his office support staff have been problematic. My mother went without an important medication for over a week because the person who handles prescription requests ignored several faxes from the pharmacy. I confirmed that my mother's nurse called the refill to the pharmacy, and that they sent multiple requests. I called to complain, and we finally got the prescription. We also have had trouble getting my mother seen when she was ill.

Nurses and staff have very poor people skills. We observed impatience with the elderly and a serious lack of empathy. They allowed my dad with moderate dementia to leave the exam rooms and wander the hallways. After which they notified my mother who had to locate him only to find him scared and confused. Shame on these people. Dr. Zagler needs to better oversee his staff.
