Dr. Kamath is one of the most compassionate physicians I have ever meet. I highly recommend her. She has a lovely bedside manner that makes her easy to talk to and she is a wonderful diagnostician. She surprised me by realizing I tend to have asthma and allergy issues chronically at the same time each year, something I had failed to notice myself.

Go to her if you want to die a slow painful death while your family watches you suffer because she missed all the important diagnoses and diagnosed everything else incorrectly. She may seem nice but she is completely incompetent as a pulmonologist. Complete lack of kindness or professionalism when a medical provider who also happens to be a family member calls ONCE to ask a question. But don’t worry, the minute she realizes that she not only missed the correct diagnosis for over two years that will cause that patient to die slowly (And that patient will only survive because there will be eyes on her 24/7 and that patient will finally have an amazing pulmonologist who will try everything to keep your family member alive. And who would have never missed the diagnosis in the first place in 100 years), she will call you immediately because she’s so terrified of being sued. As she should be. So be forewarned.

Kind, polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Appointment was efficient but did not feel rushed. She went out of her way to make sure I had a free sample of an inhaler in case my current one ran out citing concern over the cost I would have to pay. Promises to work collaboratively with me to adjust my medication as needed.
