Treats Patients Like Animals
My family member was admitted for pain management after breaking part of their body. He consistently denied them proper pain medications, laughed about their condition, and yelled at my wife. Request a different doctor immediately.

Rude and Unprofessional
My father was treated at Watsonville hospital in the Er, which was an amazing experience. He was transferred overnight as a patient. When Dr. Gonzalez contacted me he was rude and dismissive of my questions. Instead of sharing how my dad was medically, and what I needed to do to help him, he was critical of other doctors' decisions and gave no medical updates. He then became angry with me on the phone when I asked for him to help me understand how to help my dad. He told me he only knew him for 3 hours and I've known him for years so he can't help. It was unprofessional and I'm saddened that he is allowed to deal with patients and families in this manner.

Dismissive and Unprofessional
I was a patient at Watsonville Hospital, admitted for a severe infection. Dr. Gonzalez, the covering doctor on my third day, was extremely unpleasant and dismissive—of both my questions and of the treatments and medications prescribed by other doctors. He implied that the incorrect medications had been prescribed, but took credit for my improvement, though he had never seen me before. He immediately became defensive and hostile when I asked any questions. He was unsympathetic, belittling and unprofessional.
