Dr. Augusto Amaral Neto, MD

Dr. Amaral frequently admits that basic conditions are beyond his expertise, making frequent and unnecessary referrals. These are conditions that all family practitioners have been able to address in my experience, except him.Dr. Amaral is very unreceptive to negative feedback, seemingly lacking confidence in himself. This, I feel, is a training issue. He is admittedly a non-American citizen, with medical training in South America who struggles with the English language and our American personalities. Luckily for the potential medical patients of Lewistown, MT, Dr. Amaral is moving on to a more appropriate medical environment for his apparent level of education and training. I am one of his current patients who thanks him for this decision to move on. It would also be better service to our community if the doctor who is an American citizen, trained in America, would accept new patients as opposed to pushing us off on sub-standard doctors, meaning sub-standard health care.
