Poor communication.
waited on hold 1hr 18 min to set up initial appointment. Do not request prescription refills on portal even though it is available. You will have a long wait getting refills plan accordingly. His nurse that you comminacate matters with on the phone is hard to deal with.

Poor communication.
Outpatient staff very kind. Very poor communication. Takes a long time to speak to anyone in person. Difficult to get prescription refill in a timely manner.

Dr. Atef Israel
My most recent meeting with Dr. Israel was simply a continuation of my two previous meetings with him, including my initial consultation, a following treatment, and today's appointment. Each meeting included Dr. Israel's devoted attention and willingness to answer any questions I had, and each staff's commitment to providing excellent service.

WOW WITH OUT WARNING!!!
I asked one of the staff about the date on my prescription refill. She said it was shifted 2 days because of February only having 28 days. I said oh yeah, thanks. Apparently you don't want to question the staff. I received a registered letter saying I was aggressive and intimidating and they would no longer accept me as a patient. WOW that is not me, last thing I expected. They should check their security cameras.

Looking forward to next visit!
Dr Israel took the time to listen to what my symptoms were, he reviewed my MRI’s and came up with a game plan. Now we are just waiting for insurance approval. An appointment is already scheduled. I feel confident that he can provide me with relief.

Quick to discover my source of pain
I had been dealing with pain for a number of years. Upon my first visit with Dr Israel he had diagnosed the source of my sacroiliac and treatment soon began. My pain is under control at this time.

I've only been Dr. Israel's patient for a couple of years and have only seen him twice. I usually just see the nurse practitioner. Saw him yesterday and asked about some arthritis pain. He just said it's treated the same as my back pain. No one else seems interested in helping me....he at least will listen the two times I've seen him. Kim at the Lee's Summit office is amazing.

Dr. Israel saw me in 2004 at the old office in Independence down from Sabates eye center. A few Injections some pain meds that keep me functioning well. I'm still a patient to this day. Quite frankly, I enjoy the Staff, My Favorite Nurse hands down is Liz Morrow, (I took the time to find out who she was)! I must say, She has never messed my Medication dates up. When I call the office She is always very prompt to call back and helps me with any questions I have. I can tell most days If Liz is in the office, her energy and great mood has already influenced the office Staff. I do not always feel well on a vist to the Clinic as I have good days and Bad. Liz is always in a fantastic mood and that truly makes a big Difference in a person's life when we live in pain daily. Dr. Israel is a great Dr. With Liz as his Nurse, you have the perfect team that will keep me coming back as they are K.C. Pain Center!

Absolutely no information shared with family. Dr Israel was acutely aware family wanted to be present during appointment. Mom has advanced dementia. He shared complicated diagnoses with her. By the time she was brought back to the waiting area she had no idea what was discussed.

One of the worst pain management doctors I've seen in my life. I have had one neck and two back surgeries with chronic pain and he does not seem to understand pain and Pain Management. I am looking for a new doctor immediately. I have never met such a rude person in my life! And I would never refer anybody to go to them . I would suggest that you should stay away!

The only doctor out of MANY doctors who actually helped relief and manage my pain. Also has a great bedside manor... I like a doctor that will joke around a little. That helps put me at ease during treatments.

If it was not for Dr. Israel from Pain Management I would not be able to even get out of bed and walk or doing things with my daughter. After over 45 years ago when my back was hurt in the service he gave me a new life that I'm not living with 9 to 10 pain levels anymore. I have my days but that is because I did to much and started a spasm, if you have back problems call the Drs at Pain Management Center they all are very good at what they do for me Dr. Israel is my go to Dr. John Luikart DAV

I've been going to Dr Israel for 12-13 years or so now. Originally went because I had compression fractures in my back that caused chronic pain. I hadn't gone back in a few years because inexplicably my back stopped bothering me altogether. I recently broke a foot, now that and my back have become arthritic probably because I also had bypass and was inactive for a while. Dr Israel was at once humorous, sympathetic, and friendly. My wait was only about ten minutes. Would always recommend...

He ordered MRIs to see the cause of my pain only because I asked to know source of my pain. He wanted to just do a procedure and didn't explain what but a nurse said injections of some kind. He took the report of normal results for face value, not looking at images. Misdiagnosed. My neuro said neither were normal. Average time spent at appt, 2 hours. Time with him 2-5 minutes. Didn't listen to me. Underestimated my pain. Awful doctor.
