Wait time was fairly normal, 10-15 minutes if that. A nurse will take you back and do all the normal stuff, i.e. weight, new medicines, etc. She’ll then take you back to one of the examination rooms. Five minutes or so you’ll be meeting Dr. Mena. He’s thorough and explains everything the person needs to hear.

Great doctor! Not only an endo but internal med doc also. I have more confidence in him than my PCP. I drive two hours to see him and the drive is well worth it!

After trying many endo docs in the Chas area, a friend told me about Dr. Mena. I drive 2 hours to see him every month. Before seeing him, I was very sick with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, He also found that I had Type 2 Diabetes and treats me with oral hypogylcemics. He listens to me and has been very aggressive and thorough with my treatment. He is also an Internal doc, so he treats me for conditions that my PCP misses. I have full confidence in him, even over my PCP. He is well worth the drive!

He is more concerned about your weight than your illness, he had me on so much medicine my resting heart rate was 190. I took my self off of most of the meds, and I found another doctor.
