Horrible person
Repeated calls from foreign call centers demanding my credit card information. I got 8 calls in one month 4 in one week. When I tried to talk to Dr about it he kicked me from his practice. Paid co-pay then kicked out.

no empathy. why can't I put no stars
take heed, not one good review. Last visit I had with him I begged for help. He asked me was I thinking of killing myself. I'm 73 and I said no because I am starving anyway so let nature take it's course. He replied, well if that's the way you want to go.

Terrible psychiatrist
Worst psych I’ve ever met. Completely uninterested in the patient’s welfare. Completely unconcerned that office never returned three phone calls after he failed to update a prescription and my daughter ran out of medicine. He immediately blamed the pharmacy.

Horrible authorization experience
Jessica is the most incompetent medical assistant and vindictive. She says she is taking care of something that the insurance company needs and than doesn't. I have spent HOURS on the phone between my insurance company, the pharmacist, and this office and been put on hold endlessly. I had to pay for each pill out of pocket waiting over a week for them to resolve this problem and as of this moment it still hadn't been done. They also refused to take the direct number to the insurance department that would expedite this issue! And if you want a psychiatrist that cares keep looking. Dr. Patel spends an average of 2 minutes per visit with me.

This doctor is no doctor!
This man isn't a doctor.. and being as he's operating as a "psychiatrist" makes it even worse! He definitely has issues & ended up yelling at me over the phone.. ya, me with PTSD! I was assigned this man after my doctor left.. I don't know him, never met him.. prescribed me a medication that made so sick & not recommended for the elderly along with 1/2 doz other ailments I have.. scary.. going somewhere else! Smh

Don’t do it!
Terrible Doctor. Had trouble understanding him. I asked the staff when I made the appointment if he had an accent they said they had no trouble understanding him. First, stiff, upright dining chairs against the far wall, then 6 ft. to his desk, add on another approximate 2-3 ft. for his desk and he might as well been in another room. His manner was cold and uncaring. This was my first visit and he didn’t want to hear any background. It was also my last visit.

This practice is out of control. They always look too change appointments to telehealth with an inferior physician. They lied about the creds and told me the physician was a doctor. Terrible way to treat psychological patients.

Do not use this DR. He prescribes addictive medicines then cannot get the prescriptions right and the prescriptions run out leaving a patient in withdrawal. They do not respond to urgent voicemails, ignore faxes and calls from the pharmacy, and this happens every cycle. He requires a visit every 60 days, but they schedule past the 60 days. I believe this practice of ignoring patients who are having to stop taking medicines that warnings say DO NOT suddenly stop taking medicine is malpractice and a call to our lawyer is next after writing reviews to let people know to never ever use this DR. He is bad news, period. Or his office staff, but the buck stops at the top, and hard to blame a horrible team if the DR does not care. The past few years with Dr. Ashtok Patel has been a repeating nightmare from day one.

I you want someone to prescribe you pills hes your candy man, but if you want a doctor that will talk to you as a doctor hes not the one for you. His assistants are worthless. They can get anything done and don't return phone calls. They hold refills hostage and force you to make another appointment before they call in a refill. My last visit the doctor said he didn't need to see me for 2 months but he didn't write me enough meds for 2 months so I had to call for a refill. She told me you have to schedule something now or we cant call in ant refills. Read the chart lady!!!!!! Hey Dr. Patel did you know your assistant was doing this? Whats funny is there is a constant flow of people in and out of there. It looks to me like this guy is running a pill farm. Long story short don't mess with this doctor.

I can see why Dr. Patel rates only 2 stars. I had a question about a medical order that I did not feel was explained well and he just "fired" me. Seems to me a psychiatrist would "discuss" a Little more ! A patient should be able to question his/her doctor.

The doctor is a nice guy. The assistants are horrible. It impossible to get through and when you do they don't return your calls. You have to show up to the office in person to get anything done.
