Dr. Ashok Kanthawar, MD

This doctor has a terrible bedside manner, he's rude, arrogant, and did not listen to any of my concerns. I do not trust this provider with my health care. His front office staff was extremely pleasant though and this is in no way a reflection on them.

I understand other reviewers complaints regarding Dr. Kanthawar's rather abrupt method of communication. learned from my multiple visits is he wants to complete what he needs to say and does not like to be interrupted. Save your questions till he is done. He did answer my questions, even if I had to ask twice.Yes, he had to rush through appointments because he was the only gastroenterologist in the entire area, making him quite busy.I went to him due to two things. I was well overdue for a colonoscopy, and I began experiencing chronic, daily, profound liquid diarrhea. After the colonoscopy he set up a treatment plan for me and explained thoroughly why it was going to probably take a full year before I was back to my old self. Currently, (March 2024) and six months into my treatment, my colon is showing signs of healing. He recommended weaning myself off the drug and explained exactly how to do that, and how long to take each lowered dose before I need to lower it again.

My family said he talked about the American people that made us mad we let them come over here thy have no right throwing us down

Extremely rude from the first visit. Not concerned with any symptoms, made derogatory comments. After procedure, made no follow up plan except 'I still just needed to lose weight and everything should be fine'. Got a second opinion and the Doctor literally laughed at his records and diagnoses.

Not only did he have the worst bedside manner of any physician I've ever met, he didn't take any time to listen to me. He basically sent me home to die with a grim prognosis not based on all the facts. Fortunately, I have received a second opinion from another specialist that includes an actual plan of action.

Dr Kanthawar is very thorough. I was referred there because I am anemic. Dr. Kanthawar asked many probing questions and ordered numerous tests to get the answer. I am sorry that we are moving out of the area and will not be able to continue under his excellent care.

Great doctor. He always takes time to fully explain my condition. Thanks to Dr. Kanthawar for placing me in full remission.

Love Dr. Kanthawar!! I will never see another stomach doctor other than him. He knows his business. He won't stop until he finds out what is going on with his patient. He's great. His staff is wonderful. Love them all!!

I am so glad to see the feedback and know it was not just me that felt like this doctor who was suppose to be a specialist and recommended by a friend was such a disappointment. Don't waste your time or money. I needed help but ended up in er because he would not listen.and I really needed medical care

Terrible doctor. Almost killed my husband. Would not return a phone call and we ended up in ccu from a colonoscopy!

Absolutely the worst Doctor I have ever met. Talks over you, cuts you off and doesn't listen to you. Then has the audacity to act like he knows exactly what is going on with you after he says your symptoms doesn't matter. What a piece of garbage. I'd rather die than let that man get another penny from my insurance!
