The best of the best
I have vetted out a number of other docs in regards to Prostate cancer. In short if you have Prostate Cancer this is the man you want to see. It's a very stressful experience getting that news. You don't know anything about PC and the fine points of what to do. It's simply overwhelming and you need a strong advocate to guide you through all available options and have the facility and experience for the absolute best care needed. Dr Ross and the NM team should be your go to choice.

An outstanding and compassionate surgeon!
If were possible to give Dr. Ross more than five stars I would. I believe that Dr. Ross is one of the finest surgeons in the country for patients requiring removal of their prostate to treat adenocarcinoma of the prostate and is also one of a handful of experienced surgeons that can perform salvage prostatectomy after failed primary treatment for certain select patients. I was one of those certain select patients. While treating with the aim of a cure is the top priority Dr. Ross has a great appreciation for the possible impact of surgery on the patient’s quality of life and clearly and compassionately informs and educates patients on risks and treatment options.Dr. Ross’s staff at Northwestern medicine is as compassionate, caring and helpful as Dr. Ross. if you’ve been diagnosed with prostate cancer, I suggest you contact Dr. Ross’s office and ask for an appointment.

Life saving. The best in the business. World renowned. Cares very deeply. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be here today. My surgery was as tough as it gets. Kept me on the table for 5 hours until he got everything out. I believe most docs would have closed me up and walked away. He has no quit in him. The most outstanding doc and one of the finest peopIe I’ve ever known.

Dr. Ross is exceedingly knowledgeable, thorough, communicative, and kind. He is always available to respond to queries and concerns, and he does so with genuine care. My results have been exceptionally positive, with all credit due to Dr. Ross and his team. I highly recommend Dr. Ross; his combination of research scientist and skilled surgeon is surely unique.

Dr Ross performed my prostate surgery in 2015 at John's Hopkins. He is the best. He checked on me on Thanksgiving day while I was in the hospital recovering from surgery. I would 100% recommend him. I keep hoping he will move back to Baltimore. If your in the Dallas area I would definitely use him as your urologist. Thanks Dr. Ross for a job well done.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Ross?
Dr. Ross has a chronic problem with not following through and guessing the wrong course of action, multiple times. He does not communicate well and constantly reminds urology patients that he deals mostly with prostate cancer (for the money I assume). He also unprofessionally speaks about other patients insurance and how they don't pay well or wont cover this or that. I advise finding someone else, overall the doctor is odd and short sighted.

Dr. Ross was assigned to us by Johns Hopkins when my husband was diagnosed with advanced, aggressive prostate cancer at 52 years old. We feel so privileged to have him as our doctor. He is unbelievably competent, decisive, and confident. He is on the cutting edge of medicine. He gets things done and makes time to meet with patients- including on his lunch break. He performed a complicated but successful 5 hour surgery last year and continues to oversee & administer treatments. We love him.

On our initial visit for prostate cancer treatment we found Dr. Ross to be thorough, personable and willing to listen. He explained the options for treatment and answered our questions. Dr. Ross performed a radical prostatectomy in Jan. 2016. The surgery went very well. He has been very accessible by phone to give advice or answer questions. He went out of his way to call us on a Friday as soon as he got the pathology report, rather than having us wait until office hours on Monday.
