Very Caring Doctor and Associates
I went in after fracturing my L1 vertebrae. Dr Shanbhag was very concerned and showed true compassion regarding my condition. His advice and management of my pain was very much appreciated. Initially may have needed surgery but he referred me to a surgeon who suggested against the surgery.I truly appreciate how I was treated by the staff and Doctor Shanbhag and would recommend him to anyone with spine and or pain issues.

Never see Dr Shanbhag - business man (not a doctor
My dad had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Shanbhag during my two visits. He arrived late to the appointment and showed zero empathy, rushing through our time together. Despite being in severe pain, he pushed cash-based services without regard for his situation.During my dad’s second visit, I desperately tried to get an earlier appointment, calling his office multiple times for my dad. When I couldn’t reach him, my dad reached out to Dr Shanbhag’s father, a family friend, hoping for assistance. Instead of understanding, Dr. Shanbhag became extremely angry, canceled my appointment, and then called me to berate me for 45 minutes. He called me names and was sarcastic. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism from a doctor. His lack of care for my well-being was evident; he seems more interested in money than in patient care. I cannot recommend Dr. Shanbhag based on my experience.

You need to listen to PATIENTs
He needs to listen to patients and where THEY say it hurts!!Using a PA, who spent 3mins with results and then giving recommendations??? Really???Also, did you even bother to look at a BC patient that had LATs done??? No and neither did your PA!!!! You also ordered an array of tests, what about the patients knees????You ASSUMED, as you documented, that your patient only used opioids for pain when in fact they used Ladicaine roll on and also did not use a TENs unit (you ordered an unneeded one and tried to charge it off)You ordered an expensive back brace to pad your company that is NOT meant for petite people. I ordered an AWESOME one, actually 2 because of the cost & fit that can vary and fit a person of petite stature.

Pain management helped me
I have been dealing with leg and back pain for years and also suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome which was aggravated by the pain in my legs and back. Dr. Shanbhag has been working with me trying many different medications to no avail. He then ordered a multitude of diagnostic testing including, x-rays and MRI’s. Once he reviewed the results he determined that he would do medicated injections in my back. Once this treatment started I finally have relief from the chronic pain. I want to thank the doctor and his staff for giving me my quality of life backRobert C Lester

See someone else
Doctor was rude and sarcastic. He ordered several expensive and unnecessary tests without explaining them. He also prescribed several expensive and unnecessary forms of pain relief before any diagnostic imaging was done. I did not ask for these pain relief options and when I asked if they would help with recovery or just with pain, he talked extremely quickly and vaguely before pushing me out. luckily the staff was helpful and I will be seeing a different doctor going forward. It seems even the people working for him know he is awful.

Horrible! Do NOT see this person unless you want to be abused and berated! There are far too many good physicians who honor and respect their patients. Not worth the time or money; I’d rather be in severe PAIN!

I wish to thank Dr. Shanbhag and the friendly staff who each and collectively make my experiences at this facility as easy and successful as it could be each time. Words cannot express my thanks for every time I’ve had the pleasure of being there. The entire staff take excellent care of me during my procedures and visits. They are always attentive, helpful, and eager to ensure I am comfortable at all times. I look forward to future care in this facility, and know that when I come back in June, I will be in great hands! A big thank you to Dawn for going above and beyond! Thanks and have a great day. I am feeling better day-by-day, and you all helped to get that process started. You're the best!

Excellent office staff! With an amazing Dr! I have suffered for 20 years with my c-spine, today I was a little scared due to some of these reviews but I have to say hands down the Best Experience I have ever had! The procedure was quick and the only pain involved was a few needle pokes. I will Never go anywhere else.

If I could leave less than one star, I would. I can agree with most of the negative comments on here. He was rude and his bedside manner was horrible. I also was given TWO urine tests and received a large bill for them, when they were unnecessary as I was seeing him for a preexisting spinal cord injury and did not want to be prescribed opioids, even though he was pushing them.

Dr. Shanbhag and his staff have been very helpful with managing the myriad of conditions and pain related to them of my physically disabled daughter WITHOUT the use of opiods or other controlled pain medications. The relief has been amazing. The pain isn't completely gone, as her conditions are not gone, but the pain is now manageable and she's got quality of life back. The staff is wonderful, caring, and so helpful and accommodating!

Amazing doctor. Very compassionate and is THE first doctor to EVER tell me that my pain IS REAL (in the almost 10 years I’ve been dealing with it). He finally put all my thoughts of me being ‘crazy’ to rest and told me that MY pain IS, in fact REAL, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I believe that all these negative reviews are because of lack of understanding him on a professional level, (you have to put your feelings aside sometimes) and I would HIGHLY recommend him to others.

Dr. Shanbhang did not help me with my back pain at all. He did not take my pain serious and the pain medicine he prescribed did not work. He wanted to do injections and scheduled it a month later because he was going out of town. I called them to cancel my first injection because I had a doctor that could do it within the next week as I did not want to be suffering for a month A week later, I got a certified letter terminating our relationship, now I am not allowed to see any physicians there

Doctor is very condescending and hard to speak with. The office staff says they call back but do not. Even offering an opportunity for them to correct their mistake they are ones in the field that I imagine BURY THEIR MISTAKES!!! So glad I found a new doctor that is compassionate and real!! Sorry I wasted money and healing time on this practice, HORRIBLE!!!
