Dr. Arti Patel, MD

If and when you are able to get to Dr. Arti Patel, she is an outstanding doctor who is willing to listen and very patient oriented. Getting access to her is a nightmare! Don’t bother to call for information. The automated office answering support drives one to use voicemail messages with a promise to return the call. This return call may take from one to three weeks and may require multiple follow up calls to get one return call. Waiting in the queue is frustrating and frequently useless. I have waited two and a half hours in the queue to no good end. If Dr Patel were not so extraordinary, I’d be elsewhere in a heartbeat!

She's an excellent endocrinologist

Office staff is terrible and did not let me switch from Dr. Patel to another doctor, saying “we have a new policy in which we won’t switch your doctor once you’re a patient with a doctor in our service.” I’ve never heard of such a thing and it suggests many others are trying to switch as well. Patel’s first treatment of excess weight is to push weight loss medications instead of encouraging a healthier lifestyle- same with cholesterol.

Her exams are extremely thorough and all questions are answered.

Worst doctor I have ever been to! I have only been twice! She didn’t listen at all and she changed my daily routine medications and I was feeling bad after that, so I told her she didn’t listen, so I called my previous endocrinologist which is an hour away, he told me to come in for blood work. I did and he changed my medications back to the way they were and I felt better. I went back to him I would rather drive an extra hour than see Dr. Patel! My blood pressure was out the roof!!

This doctor is a joke she is so rude and does not listen my father in law almost died after she changed his medications and gave him a shot. She needs to go back to school. We have another endocrinologist in Paoli I highly recommend. And the office staff is rude and the wait time to be seen is so horrible. We had to wait almost an hour.

Arti Petal is a terrible doctor as many of the other reviews are saying! She just sends patients in circles with 4 months in between appointments all while waiting for important results. Petal ignored the patient when he said he was experiencing chest pains and numbness in the feet, after complaining to the front desk, she called to fix the situation only to hang up on me. Extremely unprofessional. Finding a new doctor immediately.

I had a great experience with Dr Patel. She was kind and very knowledgeable about my Thyroid/Parathyroid issue. She took the time to explain it all to me and knew exactly how to proceed with tests and treatments including putting me in touch with the best surgeons, all in a timely manner. I look forward to my ongoing relationship with her.

The staff is professional and they acknowledge you right away. The nurse is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Dr. Patel. She makes you feel rushed, doesn't conduct a thorough medical history, and doesn't try to explain why she wants you to follow a certain treatment. I am switching to another doctor and will not follow up with her. Don't waste your time with her, wait to get an appointment with a better more qualified doctor.

Absolute worst doctor ever, doesn't listen to your concerns, just trys to get you out of the office as fast as possible. would not recommend to anyone, choose another doc at the the Westchester location, like Bruno, he was very nice. Also front office staff was very rude.

Dr.Patel was patient,knowledgeable and kind. She took over an hour with me and made me feel comfortable.
