Excellent diagnostic skills and bedside
Ronan has great diagnostic skills and bedside attentive listening. He generally has an accurate diagnosis after a brief complaint, but continues to activately listen to his patients for the full story, complaints and symptoms to confirm his diagnosis or determine the patient needs to see a specific specialist. He has delt with me and my medical treatment for almost 20 years. Would be almost impossible to find a new doctor with the same skills and bedside.

Excellent doctor, nice guy
I have been seeing Dr. Ronan for about 15 years and have been very satisfied. He is a very good doctor and very personable. He has also worked in the area and knows the subspecialists. His referrals have always been to excellent subspecialists. His current staff is also very good.

Pros and Cons
I saw Dr. Ronan for over 10 yrs. Great doc, personable, listens, etc. Biggest cons are his inability to stay in one place (I followed him through 3 practice changes), an office staff/manager that is minimally attentive and can be rude when called out on it, and the fact that he has now priced himself out of many of his former patients with a "concierge" service that requires a membership premium on top of all your normal bills/copays. If I needed more consistent care, or there was a corresponding increase in staffing quality I might've considered it, but despite my fondness for Dr. Ronan it's simply not worth the gouging.

My son passed away March of 2020 due in part to this doctor’s negligence. After he lost 45 lbs. and insisted on a cat scan did the doctor do anything. After the scan there was no more vista to this doctor. My son died from pancreatic cancer.

Ronan is good, but his associates (nurse and receptionist) are deplorable. I asked for a medication refill on Tuesday and nobody responded. So I called Wednesday and Friday. The nurse Shirley didn't return phone calls nor do her job. The office manager had to prod Shirley to act. Good luck dealing with the "out to lunch" crew. Dr Arthur Ronan needs to get new staff to respond on a timely manner.

I was a patient of Dr. Ronan's when he was on Lake Lansing Rd. When he moved, they sent me info to fill out. I sent it in. and called to make an appointment. they said the paperwork was lost. so, I went down to the new office in person to get an appointment. they said since the paperwork was lost that I should fill out new paperwork. which I did. And then they told me how long it was going to be to see him and it was just too long. So I said I would see one of his assistants. then, they said I needed to go home and get on the computer to get an appointment with the assistant. I was having trouble with my computer ,so I said just forget it!. why couldn't they schedule me while I was right there in front of them? He is a good doctor but getting in to see him is impossible!

Our family of 4 were all patients of Dr Ronan's from approximately 2008-2012 when we moved from the area. If I were able, I would drive the hour distance to continue under his care, we all would. When we moved to Lansing in 2008, I asked a friend for a PCP referral, (she is an RN at Sparrow), we were highly recommended to choose Dr Ronan and never had such great care and attention that was required for our visits. Dr Ronan's PA at the time, I'm at a loss for his name, was excellent as well!!

I was treated horribly by your office manager on Nov 8th at eight fifteen in the morning. I was a new patient. I was at the reception window at eight seventeen. After waiting at least five minutes for the receptionists to take care of another person , I was handed paperwork to fill out. At eight twenty seven I was called up to the window and was told I could not be seen because my paperwork was not completed. Appointment time was eight thirty. Office manager accused me of being late.

My friend was recently seen , first off the front office staff is a joke , the one who sits closest to the door was on her cell phone talkin to her kid while my friend had to be checked in, we waited longer then anticipated, the office was dirty , and the front staff was rude . Not a good first impression, doctor and back staff were pretty laid back and made you feel comfortable .

I have never seen him. Always too busy so I get whomever is available. Will not allow you to go to other labs. My insurance doesn't par with his. Have to wait 10 days for results. Overbooks appointments. Wait time is absurdly long. No one answers the phone. No VM after 4:30 p.m. or before 8:30 a.m. Rude when they do answer. Medical assistants very inexperienced and always changing. Waiting room very untidy. Office is too small for all he does: spa, physical therapy, etc.
