Excessive patient requirements
I returned today for my follow-up appointment with the MRI results in hand, only to be turned away as I did not have a separate referral for my second visit, located in a different city. No where in their 17 page new patient forms is there any mention of the new referral for each appointment requirement. At no point during my first visit was there any mention of a new referral for every visit even mentioned. Excel Pain and Spine places odious paperwork demands upon their patients. They have horrible patient services.

Dr Patel 1000 percent recommend
Dr Patel 1000 percent I would recommend he cares, listens and concerned about your pain. He will keep seeing you until he resolves the pain and knows what is causing it . And will go out of his way. Like today for instance . When I was at my appointment and they were very busy , and I was about to walk out usually I would wait, but I had another matter to take care of and he stopped me from leaving in saw me right away. That means alot even though I didnt ask for it he did it. I greatly appreciate him and his staff they are go above and beyond.

I got my life back
Dr Patel has been my doctor for over 4 years. I will not go to any other doctor to manage my chronic pain. There are 2 more doctors that have joined his practice. He selects doctors who are similar to him, skillful, attentive, thorough, kind and professional. I saw Dr Vassar for an injection in my arthritic knee. He showed me on the screen where the needle would be inserted. His assistant was Tina and I cannot say enough how personable, kind and making sure I was comfortable. I have no knee pain and feeling so much better thanks to this excellent clinic.

I don't understand why you take an MRI in November they see you as a follow-up in November and promise you treatment and then in December you go back for a follow-up to the follow-up before you can have your treatment. Is way too many follow-ups and not too many treatments and I'm not happy with the staffs approach to this. I received a shot in my back a few months ago that did not work. Why does it take 3 months for a second treatment and three follow-ups. At 30 to $50 a visit co-pay that is ridiculous. I left the office without getting my follow-up because I was angry and I get a call on the way home that the doctor will no longer treat me.

Dr. Patel is a very caring, sympathetic doctor. I have suffered from excruciating knee and back pain for about a year. the doctor has taken time to listen to me when I explained where my pain was and the severity. Tests were run and a treatment plan was set up. I am feeling much better now. Much appreciation for Dr. Patel and his staff!

Their office has some serious communication issues. They ask me to come in every time to get a pain medication refill, so they can make that extra money to bill insurance company for a refill. After all they can't even sort the back pain issue without pain killers. What a RIP OFF, shame on your ethics!

My husband has chronic back ache and we were referred to Dr Patel By his Primary Care doctor. when I called to make the appointment, I was told that paperwork would be mailed to him, and would complete and bring to his first appointment . We never did receive the paperwork. We weren't too concerned as we would go 30 minutes ahead of the 8am appointment, which we did. We have never seen so much paperwork and took us until 8am to complete. Ten minutes later at 8.10am we were told that if Dr Patel’s 9am comes in, we would have to re-schedule. Why does he have appointments every 15 minutes. Does that really give a patient enough time with the doctor. We had already waited 2 weeks for the appointment, and to be turned away after being there for almost 2 hours. My husband was looking forward to perhaps getting some relief today from the excruciating back pain he has been living with. Dr Patel May be given good reviews, but this is no way to treat a new patient.

I Love Him! I have been in extreme pain for over 8 years. Dr. Patel is the only doctor that has gotten to the bottom of my reason for pain. I went in with a pain level of 8-9; today I'm at a 3 and he is working with other doctors to alleviate it even more. (Without opioids!)

I never got to see the Doctor because the receptionist was so nasty that I walked out. My appt. was for 10:40 AM and I got there at 10:30 AM. I did my paperwork at home from forms I downloaded online. She unloaded on me like I was a child caught with my hand in the cookie jar. She said I would have to re-schedule. I drove 30 miles and wasted my gas to have this woman treat me this way. The counters were dirty and I couldn't wait to get home to wash up. I'll never go back. Live and learn.
