Excellent doctor
We just moved here and a friend recommended Dr Salcido. For my initial visit, he listened, was attentive, asked questions and gave me some excellent advice. He went over my medications and dietary supplements and scheduled bloodwork and X-rays. Since we are new to the area, he will be giving us referrals for other specialists and so far we are very happy with him. I don’t understand the reviews here that said he didn’t spend time or explain things—maybe the right questions weren’t asked. We came from a large city and he is every bit as knowledgeable and involved with my care as the other excellent doctors I’ve seen in the past. Amarillo is lucky to have a doctor like Dr Salcido.

Was a long time patient of Dr Whelchel and he left abruptly. I then saw another doctor who was only there for a short time. Now I'm seeing Dr Salcido and he is a great doctor. Very smart about my illnesses and caring. After a rough go, between doctors, now I'm happy with who I see.

Avg. wait time is 45 min. He is arrogant and does not listen at all. He sent me on a 4 month complete wild goose chase to 2 other specialists to confirm that there was nothing wrong with me at all, which I paid for out of pocket and he knew I was self pay. He straight up accused me of drug seeking behavior after hearing my medical history from being a teenager 20 years ago, and then tried to walk it back, which MIGHT be understandable if I was in need of anything narcotic which I was not.

Dr. Salcido Jr. is wonderful. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and gives his patients his undivided attention. I feel truly blessed to have him as my PCP. His nurse Ana is remarkable and always follows through and very responsive.

For a dementia and alzhemier’s patient. Armando has a patent draw a clock and makes his conclusions. He is a disgrace to West Texas A & M Biology, Chemistry and BioChemistry. I know everyone in these departments and have for many years dating back to the 80s.
