Dr. Arif Habib, MD

I thought that I liked Dr. Habib. I thought he would be attentive to health concerns that relate directly to mental health. I wish that he could have considered chronic lack of sleep (2-5 hours a night, for years) as a contributing factor to my state, and could have been more helpful.My issues were treated minimally.Dr. Habib is addiction focused. I am no kind of addict. There were always questions about substance use. It felt like real pressure.After not having had alcohol in 13 years, I started having a White Claw or wine in the evening to help me relax and maybe help sleep.Alcohol meetings were then suggested to me.I was done there.I do like the man's warmth. There's something genuine about him.For my issues though, I need individualized care and consideration.

Horrible physician who has been mismanaging my grandfather’s care for 2 weeks now. We have been trying to get my grandfather (who has sever dementia) transferred to a different facility to a new facility for better care but this doctor won’t even go to work or answer his phone to put in the discharge orders. He has been extremely unhelpful this whole time and would only speak with our family once after we requested many many meets. We have many physicians in my family so we know this is not how things should be. Hope he loses his license.

learned today he sunscribes medication without treating patients. My daughter has become addicted to Xanax

He comes to a sketchy-feeling office once a month here. Lately, he's cancelled his trips and I've had to see him in Granite City. When I saw him there, he treated me with much disrespect. He had me wait one hour and 45 min, treated me like a drug seeker (SSRIs are not those kinds of meds), and he didn't know who I was til halfway through my irate upset, when only then did he change his attitude and apologize.. Very unprofessional behavior and completely UNACCEPTABLE. Healthgrade says it all.

One star is really one more star than this doctor and staff deserve. Please don't waste your valuable time, go elsewhere. Rude staff that NEVER answers the phone. Forget leaving a message, they won't return it. If you make a morning appointment the doctor is usually at least 45 min late getting to the office. If you make a late evening appointment he will decide he's done working for the day and leave. The staff may or may not call you to let you know. Just find another doctor.
