Good GI Doctor
Dr Ari listens, diagnosis and explains why he recommends his decisions. He put me on the right medication when others just masked my condition. He checks on his patients if need be. The staff is cooperative and nice. They follow up on their patients. I love Rafael, he is kind, thoughtful and professional and just a caring medical professional He calls you if you have concerns. I do recommend Go to Dr Ari Lament and his team if you have serve GI problems or just mild GI conditions. They take care of you call and make an appointment with this GI specialist. this reciew is more about my experience with the entire practice as i only had 4 minutes interaction with dr ari lamet. i went to this practice as it was where my pcp referred me to. i had an appt scheduled with dr ari lamet but they told me i would be seeing Claudia the PA. i said i wantd to see dr ari lamet to say hello before he left for the hospital. he did pop in room. i scheduled endoscopy/colonoscopy. i asked about the anesthesiologist and if it was possible to speak to him bedore procedure. the pa referred me to office manager who seemed irritated by question. she responded it is a group we use. they are good or the doctors would not use them. the medical assistant. a male was excellent personality wise and detailed info about procedure prep. the morning of procedure i was kinda shocked to see the GI Suite as i had GI procedures done in Philly and this was quite different appearance. i asked to speak to anesthesiologist about meds i take first, knowing they could interact cardiorespiratory wise wth anesthesia i was about to receive, who condemned me for even asking. when dr amet came in i asked to speak to him and tell him my symptoms, and his response was, "only have a minute cuz we have to get started." i was appalled to be spoken to like that when he had not seen me for my pre-op visit and was doing procedure. the nurse was fairly respectable and compassionate. my followup appt was scheduled with the PA. imay add that i only had the endoscopy done at that time. i had and have tried calling the office on various occasions. either the phone rings forever and nobody answers or the answering service. it is bery difficult to reach someone in office. i made a pre-colonoscopy appt and they sent me again to the PA. the week before my procedure i stopped into the office to make sure they had referral(was in the building going to another medical office).the girl looked all over and said "oh we just sent the request to ur pcp for order and referral." i am sure my pcp sent the paperwork and GI office lost it. that was the deciding factor. since i was such a nervous wreck about preparing and getting colonoscopy i cancelled it. severalweeks later i had an mri guided biopsy at the hospital. the nurse and i were talking and she said she was getting colonoscopy. naturally i asked who was doing it. i was surprised to hear she was going to the same Dr. Ari Lamet. talked about the office and gi suite. my nurse was having procedure done at memorial hospital south. i was not told that i had the option to have colonoscopy done at hospital or i would have jumped on it. i would have felt SAFE there as i did not feel safe at dr lamets GI suite at office. i might add that when i had mri guided biopsy of my breast done at memorial regional this past week, i was treated with the respect and dignity that i and every patient deserves. the radiologist introduced himself to me and asked if i had any questions. the technician did the same. the nurse was compassionate from the moment she got me from the waiting room throughout the procedure. i felt safe and cared for. That is how health care should be delivered. it is customer service and it is a very anxiety provoking experience for we as patients to deal with we deserve respect and we have the choice of doctor and i am consulting with another gastroenterologist for all of the above reasons. Shame because Dr Ari Lamet is respected in community.

I plan to return to this nicely organized practice with courteous staff and on-site facilities for my colonoscopy. Initially referred to the senior Dr. Lamet, I was pleased to find the younger Dr. Ari Lamet to have a solid background/experience and be a very good communicator. Scheduling was flexible to my needs and despite some wait time at the time of the initial consultation the procedure went very smoothly and pleasantly. Very happy they participate in ColonoscopyAssist.
