Scheduled an appt and a month later they reached out to tell me they dont accept my insurance despite saying they did at the time of booking. Most endocrinologists schedule a few months out and now because of their offices negligence in properly checking insurance I will have delayed care for my medical needs

Not worth the time or money
Dr.Swami is dismissive and neglectful. As a type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump I do not feel comfortable entrusting her with my health. I am supposed to have lab work every 3 months; she has never ordered them. I have to rely on my GP for everything. Trying to get the office to respond and renew my Rx (that I need to live) is a nightmare. I end up having to call my GP. She seems arrogant and made me feel like I was wasting her time. She wrote me a Rx that my insurance would not cover without a note from her. Out of pocket the Rx is thousands of dollars a month and with insurance it would be less than $100. I contacted her office at least 8 times requesting she fill out the form my insurance provided. Finally the front office got back and said that Dr: Swami refuses to fill out said paper work. Why write the prescription but refuse to fill out the required papers that allow me to afford it? Inconsiderate and neglectful. Avoid this frustration!

Missed multiple diagnoses
I had been a patient for years bc of thinking I would get better care from an endocrinologist. My symptoms were brushed off by her. I was later diagnosed with two major endocrine disorders that were missed or ignored by Dr. Swami. She is nice but she needs to be more thorough and take patients symptoms seriously. My primary doctor took my health and symptoms more seriously than Dr. S and it literally saved my life.

Totally Dismissive!!
I requested an appointment with Dr. Swami through her website and she totally disregarded me without even a chance to meet or review my medical records or learn anything about me. I reached out specifically for conditions listed on her website. I was completely dismissed. In fact, when I didn’t hear back for a week, I had to call and follow up and finally someone at the front desk called and said she’s not interested. They showed zero concern, nor did they provide any reasons why. I was in shock that I would not even get a response to my appointment request and then finally a phone call to tell me she’s not interested in seeing me. Totally presumptuous, arrogant and ignorant. In hindsight, I’m glad it happened because I avoided wasting time with a doctor who does not care about my issues or have the common professional courtesy to respond. I dodged a bullet!

RUN FAR AWAY from Dr. Swami, FIND SOMEONE WHO IS OPEN TO ADVANCEMENTS and takes time to truly listen to you, hear you, and want to help you. Dr. Swami was flat out rude from the moment she walked in for my New Patient appt. She walked in with an attitude, looked down at my papers, rolled her eyes and said, "what is all this, are you taking all this?", moving her hands with such attitude! She made me feel horrible and sad and i was at a loss for words. Especially when I am in the middle of feeling absolutely terrible and fatigued, and trying to figure out my adrenal insufficiency and hormones. How dare she! She continued to say she didn't agree with what I was taking and we can part ways if I didn't want to follow her plan. She is 100% western (traditional) medicine, not open to eastern, holistic, functional nor integrative medicine, nor hormone replacement therapy, nor the supplements I was on. No out of the box thinking. She had no right to treat me the way she did!

Amazing Doctor
Doctor Swami is wonderful! I have been going through unknown health issues and she is working so hard and running so many tests to figure out the cause. She really cares about her patients and takes the time to figure out what is going on. Her staff is amazing as well. I can’t recommend her enough!

Smug, dismissive, and arrogant.
First, the staff was great and called me in when there was a cancellation. I've had concerns with my health and paid out of pocket for the consult. She briefly went through my documentation, and made it seem that the purchase of my Freestlyle libre2 was a joke. I was concerned about how my glucose levels had shot past 200, then right back down in the 70's 20 minutes later, then 60's, and mid 50's. Medical literature shows that would be called "reactive hypoglycemia". She wasn't concerned at all and said it could go in the 40's and I will be ok. Again, this is misinformation, since the data shows this is absolutely wrong. She then proceeded to tell me I am not diabetic, which I never said I was, and that this isn't an Endocrine issue, no f/u was made. I asked for all the tests, but had other tests come back from another clinic with elevated hormones (so something is up). I don't feel safe with her as a provider, and she doesn't answer questions well at all.

I need to have a yearly follow up due to thyroid nodules. My previous endocrinologist was no longer with TGMG. I was referred to her. My appointment was a disaster. I had gotten my ultrasound at a radiology place apparently she didn’t approve of. Her only concern was she could not read the disc I had brought with me. I offered to get it redone, she was not interested and told me to return in a year. She was dismissive, arrogant and did nothing. I did NOT go back fearing if my ultrasound showed something abnormal, I could have had serious problems. I would NOT recommend her to anyone.

Dr Swami is knowledgeable and informative. She takes the time to listen and then reply to each concern or question I bring to her. She seems to stay current on the studies being conducted in Endocrinology.

Have yet to see her because her office staff refuses to make an appointment for me. I have called them ever day for two weeks and every day they won't make the appointment. I explain to them I am running out of medicine but none of them care at all. I am currently on hold and have been on hold for 30 minutes. She might be a great doctor but her office staff is crap!

After having me on medications for high cholesterol, triglycerides, and portal hypertension for 4 months, I met with her for a scheduled visit. Labs were done prior to that visit, and to my surprise, she did not have then do a lipid screen. I have to ask...why did I take the meds, and how will she know if they helped me? I think I can find someone who keeps up with her patient's problems better than that! She seems smug.
