I assume Dr.Apte is Dr Archana Apte Jindal. I had knee replacement at Va. Hosp Ctr May 10 & I asked my surgeon to request Dr Marina Pavlova as she had done my anesthesia several times with great success, & another anesthesiologist had done a peripheral nerve block that had not worked. Dr. Pavlova was unavailable, but had given me her card & said to contact her if I ever had anesthesia questions, (which was 1 reason I requested her!) so I emailed her for recommendation of an expert in nerve blocks. She recommended Dr Archana Apte Jindal, who was amazing. She met with me to discuss what she would be doing & answer my questions. She left & returned with a tray of syringes that looked like they should be loaded in a rifle & shot in an elephant rump. I prepared for 10 minutes of agony, but as she was explaining what she was doing, I never felt a thing. The block worked perfectly & my leg was numb for @ 15 hours. Dr Jindal even came to my room twice to make sure I was OK!!
