It is amazing to find a specialist here whose excellent education, thoroughness, and ability is so clearly apparent. His manner is friendly. He explains the diagnosis and treatment decisions well, and he listens carefully. He is not, however, going to make small talk. He has assembled an amazing team of anesthetists, nurses, and others. Their work is courteous, friendly and they work as a team. Only once have I had to wait long, and that was when 3 emergencies came in. I didn’t mind. If I’d been one of them, I’d have been grateful for his quick attention.

Stay Away!
I went to see Viswanathan on Oct 6th 2023 and he said my bladder had gone to sleep from surgery. I was told the catheter would hurt going in and out, and just be uncomfortable while in. It was excruciating in all 3 phases. He said I needed Turp surgery without ever having examined me. I asked about the less invasive MIST surgery he said it was just advertising. I left there in a lot of pain and now it feels like the tip of my 'part' is being pinched. Another urologist said the pain should have stopped after the catheter was removed. It didn’t. I had NO pain at all until he inserted the catheter and it has never stopped. I am now on Gabapetin for probable nerve damage.... caused by a rough insertion. I am living in constant pain and it started with him. It has been -33- weeks and counting of pain. I would advise you to go to someone else!

Wonderful Doctor 10 out 10 recommend
I saw Dr Viswanathan on the recommendation of a friend. He patiently listened to my concerns, we discussed a treatment plan in which I was allowed to help make decisions. I had surgery with him, the follow up appointments were all as wonderful as the initial appointment. He and his staff are a wonderful addition to the Urology group in Lancaster. I recommend him to everyone that needs a urologist.
