Dr. Anuj Puppala, MD

My hip replacement surgery was one of the three, plus a knee replacement that Dr. Puppla performed one morning a couple of years ago. He didn't match the length with my other leg. Now I limp.

I am a 62 year old male. Osteoarthritis started slowing me down about 5 years ago. The pain was not unbearable, about an average of 5, but could be an 8 at times. I had a hip replacement yesterday. I was in WALKING out of the surgery center in 5 hours. I was a little light headed for about 6 hours after I got home. Initial pain was more than expected but after 12 hours pain is less than it was before surgery. Pain is mostly in my thigh. I will probably only use acetaminophen l for pain as needed. Urinating was difficult at first but stream is now about 50% and improving. I am using a walker for balance and safety but really don't need it. I will continue using the walker though. Physical therapy will start today. I will update in a few days, but so far extremely happy!!

Had many orthopedic procedures Dr Puppala did my L/hip last year and had outstanding results by far one of the best doctors I have seen very friendly and answers all your questions unlike others that seem to be in a hurry to get you out the door

Dr Puppal is very kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and actually listens to what you have to say. He is thorough and goes over all tests and labs in great detail, along with treatment options. I am very picky with Drs and I would recommend him to all my friends, family, and patients.

Dr. Pupala acted in a very unprofessional manner when he stated that he would do a hip replacement on me. When I tell you that I was in such intense pain I being a grown man cried painful tears. My Personal Dr prescribed pain meds for me until the date of my surgery. The anesthesiologist called me and was asking questions about my personal history. I am an admitted recovering addict which was in my chart and not hidden. Would love to finish this story but he does nothing for an admitted addict

Caring, sympathetic, knowledgeable & experienced, Dr. Puppala puts one at ease. From the moment that you meet him he is able to establish an immediate trust that both your physical & emotional needs will be met. I feel VERY fortunate to have him as my doctor. His staff & his assistant (Blanca) are angels in the care as well as the follow-up that they give.

Dr. Puppala has replaced both of my hips during the last four years. The latest being 3 weeks ago, it was done anteriorly. Both experiences with Dr. Puppala have been excellent. As I said, I am three weeks post op of the latest replacement and find myself wondering how I can possibly be doing so well. The pain is gone and I'm doing everyday tasks with no problem. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Puppala.
