Frequently was told during my appointment that I was not answering her questions... while I was in the middle of answering her questions. She interrupted me and tried to put words in my mouth. She wrote things on my medical chart stating I had expressed thoughts of "wanting to be dead" which was not the case and I had corrected by a note left by my GP at my next appointment. She did not use any official screeners for mental health conditions because she said she wanted to "get to know me the person", but then seemed uninterested in me the person throughout our conversation. I mentioned specific concerns directly related to my condition using precise language from the DSM-V and she wrote that my description of my symptoms were "vague". She was also entirely unable to explain the medication she prescribed me - how it works, how it would address my health concerns, why it would be better or worse or just different than other options... she basically said that there was no way to know what would work for me until we tried it (technically true, in a way, but there is still science involved in the function of medication with the brain that is different from medication to medication...) I honestly think she doesn't know how any of the medications she prescribes actually work... Scary. I cried through the whole appointment because she was so brusque with me.
