Results on a difficult case!
I have been Dr Valentin's patient for many years. I had a problem with my hip that had not been diagnosed and I had been to several Drs. I was in a great deal of pain. Dr Valentin is the one who ordered an MRI and found what was wrong. The MRI uncovered a labral tear- not something he would treat (needed an ortho specialist), but he found the problem! After that was repaired I continued to see him for cortisone shots. He is kind, and gentle with the shots and I would recommend him. I find his bedside manner to be just fine, but it wouldn't matter to me anyways since he diagnosed the problem that several other Doctors could not!

In reading through Dr. Valentin's past reviews, agree that his personality can be a bit dry. With that said, I think he's improved his bedside manner over the years, and was relatively engaging with me. He seemed knowledgeable enough, and did a thorough RA workup. I can't say how helpful he will be if you have a unique/difficult issue. But for most arthritis issues, he seems like a decent doctor.

Dr Valentin is good, as long as you are doing well. Once you have an RA flare, he ignores your complaints. He would not change my meds, even though I had to be hospitalized during a very bad flare. My primary had to intervene and admit me to the hospital in order to treat my pain level and test the other symptoms I was having. His nurse is awful. She is condescending and rude. She thinks that she is the doctor! Patient beware. If you have an easy case of RA then you might be okay. But, if your disease is not well managed, stay away!

Dr. Valentin treated me well. I thought I needed knee surgery upon xray several years back. He gave me visco-supplementation which has given me great relief for several years. Now it's time to go back and I'm looking forward to seeing and being treated by Dr. Valentin.

Where to begin...been seeing dr. Valentin for 3 yrs. He is polite but very dry. The nurse does not keep accurate records, doesn’t respond to questions and only passed on to dr what she wants. It’s as if the nurse is in charge of the dr. If you don’t know what’s wrong with you, do research first as this place is in and out quickly ....blood work comes back negative then your screwed. Passes out meds without explanation and whatever you do , don’t ask questions because it’s never noted . ??

I don't recognize the Dr. Valentin referred to in many of these reviews. My experience with Dr. V has been positive, and his knowledge and professional competence has been invaluable in easing my pain. He has shown himself to be courteous and concerned which is what any patient wants. He is an in - trovert, and for that matter so am I, and I think that many of these reviews are reflective of this in portraying him as distant and uncaring, That is certainly not the doctor I know.

For the record, I have never felt the need to write a reviw until now. Just an aweful experience. Every review written previously nailed his lack of empathy, personality, and professionalism. I'm 43 and I've had chronic pain for years and the best he did was order bloodwork and Naproxin. After a year of this scam, I finally asked for all my medical records and am now looking for a Dr. that may actually care about me!

The best I can say is that Dr Valentin should consider a nonclinical research position. Interview & exam were superficial. Empathy: absent. Interest in disease progression: minimal. He rudely expressed disinterest in following a rare & disabling disorder that should be within his capabilities.

I agree with the other reviews....the whole process is a bit like cattle being herded into holding pens...and when you are seen by the doctor the exam is cursory at best, the empathy/ bedside manner is non existent, you are rushed through the consult in a manner that hardly allows for questions the diagnoses were arbitrary and asinine...he is a giant NO!!!!!

I had an initial visit with Dr. Valentin, with great help, interests, many questions, concerns, great physical inspection as well as complete questions! The staff seemed professional and kept my privacy respectfully. My second visit was informative, I was invited for a re~visit should i have any other flareups, I felt he did all he could do for me.

He's not a warm fuzzy. Lacking empathy and any warmth to say the least. There is a NEXT! feeling like you are just a number and there is no caring about how you are at all. No caring, no hearing about what you are telling him about your symptoms and your needs. He will not return phone calls ever. He leaves this to his nurse who is not mature enough to handle this task. She does not deliver messages clearly and it's like playing the game telephone from preschool so there is a huge gap.

I waited to see Dr. Vallentin and when I finally saw him he spent 5 minutes with me. Rushed the entire appointment, gave me some naproxen, & ordered some lab work. It was the worst experience with a doctor, he didn't care to hear about my symptoms which are still there. He doesn't call you directly with results and his nurse knew little. This place is so systematic like the the registry for motte or vehicles...take a number get in and get out. Aweful!
