Dr. Anthony Zavadil III, MD

He told me he was the only place I could get insulin, then the pharmacy told me I could buy it over the counter.

Still waiting for test results that have not been received for a test taken (and paid for) in June. It is now OCTOBER. There is ZERO office staff. There is no follow-up. Dr. Zavadil is a nice guy, but I don't trust him with my health or my husband's. Absolutely the poorest communication from a medical professional ever. I do not recommend under any circumstances.

I was really happy with my visit with Dr. Zavadil. He listened to what my issues are. He did not immediately try to prescribe statins and anti depressants. He gave me a plan to try and if it did not work we would look further. I left feeling heard and understood. I haven't had that experience in 20 years.

First and foremost; Dr. Zavadil has strong communication skills and conveys genuine concern about and interest in my deteriorating health. I couldn't help but notice that his skills are an integral and inseparable part of his medical communications process. Dr. Zavadil spoke professionally and accurately but in a way that I could understand. He spoke honestly, professionally, and confidently, and discussed my condition and proposed treatment in a language I could easily understand. Even though the office was busy, but the doctor gave me all the time I needed and he was an active listener too. Moreover, his experience and bedside manners were second to none.

There are plenty of reasons why I have been seeing Dr Zavadil for over 12 years. He is what I call the Educational Doctor. He always explain in details his diagnoses in the simplest terms available. Moreover, he takes his time on every visit to check me out properly and he answers all of my questions. I consider Dr Zavadil very smart and diligent doctor; he never gives up on anything and he was always there when I needed him. I highly recommend Dr Zavadil.

Dr. Z is kind, considerate, up-to-date and listens to his patients. We have been going to him for diabetes for over 10 years.

Dr. Zavadil and his staff look out for my elderly father. When they thought things “were not quite right” followed up immediately, even though they didn’t concern endocrinology directly. I am delighted that they are concerned with the whole patient and are extra help when something needs to be figured out. I am happy to refer Dr. Zavadil and his team to everyone!

I like Dr. Zavadil but the office never gives me feedback on my Labs and I never see a report. At least 3 times I have gone to my pharmacy to pick up prescription (when a new one was needed after the old one expired) only to find out that they had not received a new prescription from the doctor! This is not 2 or 3 days later but a week or more in each case! Today was the 4th time as I put in a refill on 8/16 and the pharmacy faxed requests on 8/16, 8/18, and 8/23. No answer!

Dr. Zavadil is my favorite Dr. that I have ever been to. My metabolism went crazy with menopause and he is helping me lose weight. He is also the kindest Dr. I have ever been to and never trys to shame me about my weight, which other Dr.'s have done. And I am finally losing! He is an old fashioned Dr. in the sense that he takes as much time with you as is needed, sometimes 45 minutes to an hour. I love him! Sometimes you have to wait more than 15 minutes to see him, but he is worth it.

Beware: He spent more time during my consultation entering codes into his computer and explaining the new codes he needed to learn than he spent discussing my concerns. Poor bedside manners. His staff is courteous, but I have tto beg for copies of my lab results (took over a month to get copies) and it has recently taken me over 2 weeks to get a prescription refill. I'm entirely too frustrated with this office to recommend them to anyone.
