I was not a patient of Dr. Dota. My nephew Brandon at 36 years old developed Septicemia and went into Shock. They called Dr. Dota because Brandon’s heart was pumping out of his chest that’s what Sepsis does when you’re close to death it goes after the heart. The hospital unfortunately made a misdiagnosis on Brandon but Dr. Dota looking carefully at this boys record knew IMMEDIATELY what was wrong and went to work. He changed everything they were doing and I 100% believe he saved Brandon’s life because of it. Thank God for Dr. Dota. He is an amazing Cardiac Doctor and Surgeon never hesitate to make an appointment with his staff. They’re great too!! God Bless All Of You!!The Scott Family

Outstanding
At first, I was apprehensive about an appointment with a cardiologist. From the minute Dr. Dota walked into the room and introduced himself to me I felt at ease.He answered all of my questions and gave me detailed explanations of various procedures in the future.I feel very confident of continuing my medical care with him.

One of the best cardiac physicians in Las Vegas
Dr. Dota is an amazing cardiac surgeon, one of the only Doctors we’ve had in our 60+ years who actually listens. He explained the procedure in great detail and was patient answering all our pre/post-op questions with thoroughness kindness. He did a fantastic job in surgery. We’ve referred other friends to his practice and everyone has thanked us, with a few even going so far as to say we saved their life by sending them to his care. All around great man & even better physician. Thank you Dr. Dota for being a complete blessing in our lives.

I was in bad shape in 2017 and this Dr. Dota got me back on the right path!!! The procedure really had me scared even though I tried to be brave. When your 6'6" you have to be tough. He made me really feel at ease during the entire procedure. Need more Doctors like him that actually care about their patient. Not looking at them as just a paycheck!!!! I could go on and on about this Doctor.????????

I consulted with Dr, Dota after being with a group for 27 years. The group was sold numerous times and I had a serious heart problem. Dr.Dota took my case and performed miraculous work on my heart on July 24th 2019 @Sunrise Hospital. I no longer have a Life threatening condition. He is an amazing cardiologist who added years to my life.

Although very friendly and caring sounding, I have had him for over two years and still no plan of action. I am in constant AFIB meaning never in rhythm and never tried to convert me in all this time, and yes I've asked to be converted. I am totally out of breath, he is aware, oxygen levels fallen from 98% to 95% and lower a lot of the time. He has no explanation for what he is doing which is absolutely nothing. He isn't even prescribing any medication for me. He did at first 1/2 dose of a beta blocker and blood thinner yea! PCP has filled them since the first prescription & upped the Beta to normal. Couldn't even get a blood pressure med from him and mine is always way high. I do have other issues but my heart is not being taken care of with Dr. Dota.

1st time seeing this cardiologist never used the stethoscope never required an EKG and only wanted to talk about statins. I told him I'm not intrested in blood thinners and then I am on a aspirin regiment and without consulting me ordered me blood thinners.

Steer as far away as possible from this doctor and his practice. He and his staff lied to me (told me the couldn't provide test results over the phone cause of Hippa) overcharged (they required $90 for the copay when I found out it was $30) and Dr. Dota didn't show up for the appointment that I had to make to get my test results. I spent two hours driving half way across town and waiting in his office for something he could have done on the phone in a minute.

Dr. Dota style is open and candid, he questions & probes for key information and then thoroughly explains his thoughts on treatment, laying out options, considerations, etc. He takes the extra time to make sure the patient understands the + and - of the options before proceeding.

I don't think we could have handled the situation my father went through without Dr. Dota. He has had occasional chest pain for the better part of 3 years but we still were not prepared for the weekend of his MI. Dr. Dota's demeanor and expertise was not only life saving for my father but able to keep our entire family at ease during the procedure and the interval afterwards. Many thanks! Highly recommended.
