Dr. Anthony Avitabile, DO

First of all he is a Veteran and we thank him for his service to our country! Answers any questions throrughly and has great follow up with my labs and medication refills.

My husband and I chose Dr Avitabile as our general practitioner, at the beginning of this year. One specific reason for choosing this doctor was that his website indicates he specializes in HRT. After several visits, we realized quickly he is not a specialist in this area. He simply uses labs as a method to determine the amount of hormones needed rather than creating a specific plan tailored to each individual.Furthermore, he tried to tell me that I had mild arthritis, causing severe pain and heaviness in my lower pelvic area. He advised me to go to physical therapy. After continued pain and a feeling that something wasn’t right, I went to a urogynecologist who informed me, I had a prolapse of my small intestines and bladder. I am recovering from surgery at this time. My husband and I don’t feel that Dr. Avitabile truly listens to his patients. I encourage everyone to do his or her research before choosing this doctor treat them.

Dr Avitabile is the most down to earth doctor I’ve ever met. He’s always taking wonderful care of me, I have been seeing him for 10 years now. Best Doctor hands down!!

Just up and left his practice. Poor uncaring doctor. Treats his patients and staff poorly using profanity, insulting and degrading speech. Do not see Dr.Avitabile if you value your health!

I have been going to Dr. Avitabile for 10 years or so. I recently tried to schedule an appointment for an annual preventive care/wellness visit per my insurance co. at my employer. The office staff were rude and gave me the run around about what to officially call the visit. They finally told me on the 3rd call to go find another Dr. permanently! They said I had not been there in 6 years as if I had insulted them? ok.. Dr. A is great I loved him as my Dr. but his office staff are extremely rude.
