Dr. Anny Wu, DO

From the moment she walked in she was dismissive. I understand not every doctor is going to have perfect manners but this lady went above and beyond to make me feel unheard. Her telling me that “lupus is a women’s disease, you wouldn’t have it” was the icing on the cake. “Come back to me when you have joint pain”, as if that’s the only qualifier for an autoimmune disease? This appointment was a waste of time and she should have her license investigated or revoked.

Dr. Wu was great! She was very patient, empathetic, thorough, listened well, answered my questions, was knowledgeable and engaging. Based on my history, she even wanted to test for something that likely did not exist just to be safe as part of her very thorough process. It was a very positive experience. Those negative reviews seem a bit too much over the top (“anger” - c’mon?!?!) and describe someone that was so diametrically opposite of what I encountered that they must be inaccurate. If you’re not answer shopping, then I highly recommend her!

I was told the exact thing! I am only 54 yrs old. My blood tests have been repeated twice by my GP, and despite not being normal, Dr Wu repeated and said she expected them to be normal and did not schedule a follow up appointment. Well none of my tests came back normal. Four days later I called, after emailing her, and was told she was on an indefinite LOA. I was already going to find a new doctor, this just solidified my decision. There is a reason she was the rheumatologist with the "first available" appointment.

I am only 56 yrs old, old my recent blood tests are normal and contrary to my test results I have difficulties bushing my teeth, opening water bottles, holding the steering wheel...regular things that someone who is an avid hiker would do. I practically insisted that she send me to have more extensive and specific blood tests...and after my perseverance she unwillingly did it. I am certainly not going back and we'll find a more professional MD to take care of my symptoms.

Doctor is patient, willing to spend the time to listen, answer questions, and provide information. Comfortable and casual, but professional visit.

She is kind, knowledgeable and effective. She takes the time to listen to you and form your care plan around your particular needs. I would recommend her to anyone!
