Clueless about arthritis. No suggestions about exercises, supplements, activities. Just joint replacment. Good scolding about having primary care doctor. Hapless. Very disappointing.

Dr. Toohey is the best, she has been with me since day one which was about four years ago and she has helped me tremendously through my problems!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Toohey for 2 years since my former Rheumatologist retired from practice. Dr. Toohey listens carefully and asks follow up questions that demonstrate that she really is engaged and cares about my well being. She has shown me my xrays and compared them to previous ones while pointing out the normal and abnormal areas of concern. Her clinical skills are excellent.

Dr. Toohey is an exceptional Rheumatologist. She is very knowledgeable and always friendly. She gives ample time during your evaluation to ask questions and gain understanding regarding your condition and treatment plan. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a rheumatology specialist. She is the only doctor I ever had that calls you back personally with lab results or for problems/questions that occur between appointments.

Overall, during my appointments, she discusses important facts related to my medical condition using understandable terms that are delivered in a gentle and very knowledgeable manner. Dr. Toohey also closely monitors other related aspects of my medical care such as lab work, x-rays, and prescriptions as needed in a timely manner, for example. She also reminds me that I may contact her about any questions related to my medical condition, should they arise. Excellent!

Incompetent, unprepared, and rude. This person should retire and spare patients from her ignorance. Waited nearly 3 months for an appointment during which it became clear she had not read the referral report and wasn’t prepared. I provided a disc of xrays which she didn’t review but then tried to use these to justify her incorrect diagnosis. Appeared she didn’t know if she was looking at the right or left side view. The xrays contradicted her. Terrible experience, nasty person.
