Dr. Anne Martello, MD

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the care I have received from Dr. Anne Martello at the VA Clinic in Glen Burnie, MD. As a veteran who relies on the VA for medical support, I expect a level of compassion and dedication that reflects the service and sacrifices of those who turn to the VA for care. Unfortunately, my experiences with Dr. Martello have been far from satisfactory.It is evident to me that Dr. Martello lacks the genuine care and passion necessary to provide effective treatment for veterans. While I understand the importance of credentials and qualifications in medicine, they mean little if they are not accompanied by empathy and a true commitment to patient well-being.Out of all the doctors I have encountered during my time with the VA, Dr. Martello stands out as the least engaged and least effective. Her approach feels like little more than a perfunctory effort to “check the box” on behalf of the VA, particularly during annual visits.

She is one of the best doctors I have had in my long life. She is direct and honest, which is something I like very much. Dr. Martello has provided me the best care possible, and I have been her patient since 2010.

If it was possible to give zero stars that would have been a more appropriate rating. I have spent 8 of the last 10 years of my professional career working on construction sites and have been treated with more respect there than what my father and I were shown at the Glen Burnie VA by Dr. Martello. She was disrespectful, dismissive, demeaning, and down right rude to both my father and I as we were trying to navigate his newly diagnosed stage 4 kidney disease during a hospital follow up with her. Thankfully the front desk staff at the office was much more compassionate and assisted us in scheduling follow ups with a different physician. My father and his fellow veterans have given more than any of us civilians can ever understand for this country and the absolute bare minimum we can give them in return is a team of health care professionals willing to treat them with the care and compassion that they deserve.

She is the best of best! she is currently treating me for high blood pressure at the VA medical center in Glen Burnie Maryland.
