Response to bone loss referred to negligent PA/PCP
Misplaced trust. I thought she had my best interest at heart until I was misdiagnosed with an autoimmune disease. My last DEXA scan showed a 12% decrease in bone mass despite continued treatment. I asked her if the underlying issues created by her colleague's treatment could be involved in the significant bone loss. Her behavior changed and she referred me back to a PA/PCP who had dismissed a diagnosis of macrocytosis for a number of years. I recently went to see a spine specialist due to extensive pain. He told me I needed to find a new endocrinologist based on Dr. Larochelle's response.

Terrible experience
I went to her about 5 years ago. I have hashimotos, and was on thyroid medicine, she had me stop taking it, didn't explain anything. I had rapid weight gain, felt horrible, was crying and couldn't get any help when I called. Started back on my meds and felt better in couple weeks. So hard when you have to miss work due to incompetent dr

EXTREMELY Disappointed
After last appointment where she berated me for my personal medical decisions that have absolutely nothing to do with my hypothyroid, I changed providers. I discovered I was not instructed on how to properly take my medication, and never had an ultrasound on my thyroid to determine if there were any additional issues. Therefore, I was taking the improper dosage of my medication. From my personal experience, I do not recommend this Dr nor will I ever be going back.

I have been a patient of hers since Esrly 2017 and have complete confidence in her treatment for me. I had to have my thyroid removed and she continues to monitor me for that as well as my osteoporosis. I would highly recommend her for these 2 conditions.

Her nurse is the rudest, strange person I have ever encountered and Dr. Larochelle spent very little time with me even though my tests showed I have 6 fractures in my back, put me on Forteo with no explanation of how to use the medication and didn't want to see me for 6 months. Will not be going back and suggest others look for a better doctor - I did and am very pleased. Her nurse should not be practicing and others are aware of this but have hidden reports & records.

I really like her. She is obviously very smart and knows her stuff. She always spends a lot of time with me answering my questions and explaining everything in detail. She provides a written plan with copies of all orders for labs and other appointments and treatments. So there is no confusion on my part about the plan to teat my illness. I find her to be refreshing and very friendly.

She enters the room with a smile & she's always polite, professional, and sincerely interested in my progress. She also has a good sense of humor. I go to my appointments anticipating a pleasant experience and I've never been disappointed. Once I had to wait longer than she would have her patients wait, and she apologized for making me wait and explained what caused the additional wait time.

I moved here from Michigan and was looking for an endocrinologist because of my past history with thyroid cancer. Well now I am taveling back to Michigan. It seems like all Carolina Health Specialist care about is getting as much money as possible. Doctor appointment $250 blood test $180 and throat scan at the hospital for $850. The doctor in Michigan did everything for in house for $200. Nurse was very unprofessional. Dr LaRochelle was professional but lacked knowledge of my previous doctor.

Visited her for the first time today. She went over my records and told me more about my history than the doctor I had before. I was very impressed with what she said and what she planned to do as far as my treatment in the future. I will definitely keep her as my doctor.

I would never recommend Dr. Anne LaRochelle! Because I questioned the reason for an office visit where she was not prepared to discuss my biopsy results and why I should have to pay for that visit, she emailed me and told me that I need to find another doctor. I thought Dr.s were suppose to be prepared when you arrived rather than telling you that she doesn't have sufficient information but pay for the office visit anyway at $200 a pop. Totally unprofessional in my opinion.

Impressed at my first visit. Her nurse spent quality time with me prior to seeing the doctor ...and then the doctor spent an amazing amount of time with me. She did not seem rushed at all, went over every health issue, gave me her game plan. I was impressed and looking forward to moving forward with good health.
