Dr. Anne Braunstein, MD

Went to urgent care for a severe sore throat, full ears, sinus pressure x1w2d. Empty clinic waiting room in evening time. Nurse came in to swab for only strep, did not offer flu/check for tonsillitis etc. Braunstein came in, did not introduce herself, just chuckled and flashed a light at my throat. Told me that it was a nasty virus and it was going to stick around for longer and that I had not waited long enough, even though I was in severe pain and it was affecting my work/life. Told me strep was negative while still lingering outside the door of the exam room then walked away. Was given no instruction, no abx, no tips to get through the week etc. Walked out feeling worse. I am a Sutter employee and have access to my own chart review in Epic. Note by Braunstein says I “denied flu testing”. Which is absolutely not the case, I was looking for help. Will not be going to my own UC again, would prefer outside clinic. Very poor care, low attention.

I sustained a toe injury playing tennis. My toenail bed was visibly black. The accumlation of blood was raising my toenail. The pressure was causing the skin around my nailbed to take on a red discoloration. My toe was throbing from the pressure. I could not get a timely appt with a podiatrist or my Primary Care doc. My PC suggested I go to urgent care. At first I went to a walk-in clinic where they said I likely needed my toenail removed to revlieve the pressure. I went to urgent care and saw Dr. Anne Braunstein. Dr. Braunstein completely ignored my mechanism of injury and my black nail bed and dx me with a skin infection. I pointed out the eccymosis and she dismissed the symptoms. I was sent home with an rx for an antibiotic and instuctions to soak my foot. I am an advanced practice nurse and I beleive that I recieced totally inept care.

Terrible. A prime example of a doctor who either doesn't care about her patients, or doesn't have the skill to be in the job she is in. Wife went to urgent care for a broken finger. Got x-rays which showed a spiral fraction, but instead of telling us how to fix it, she kicked us out and told us to go see an orthopedic with just a finger splint instead of referring to ER. Terrible person, awful at her job, spent like 2 minutes with us for review

Had the same issue. Was bullied to going to the ER when it was medically unnecessary. She wanted to leave for the weekend and all I needed was a prescription.

Though 2 of the nurses at the clinic were wonderful, Dr. Braunstein refused to answer direct questions to explain the recommended tests and procedures to our 22mo daughter. She then bullied us to go to the ER, when according to ER staff and Dr's it was unnecessary.
