Dr. Anna Carrillo, MD

I have gone to Dr. Carrillo for the last several years. Her patient care has dramatically deteriorated especially since she no longer has a physical office. During my last visit she was in her car. She was supposed to prescribe new meds and has not done so. I am unable to reach her b/c her mailbox is full. There is no way to contact her.

Dr Carrillo is one of the best doctors I have seen. I can understand why she receives some negative reviews as she meets families at the most stressful of times. I met her while our family was experiencing one of these stressful times with my child. I have continued to see her for years now. She takes her time and ask relevant questions she also remembers what you told her the last visit. She is not a pill pusher and will explain her decisions as too why. If you're looking for that kind of doctor, she probably isn't right for you. She has never let me run out of medication which has happened with others. Overall, I think she cares about you.

I have never felt comfortable with her. She gives my children medication but she does not counsel or really talks them about how they feel on their meds. She has very limited office hours. I have called and left a message for her and she did not call me for 2 days.

Office admissions representative was very disappointing in term of helpfulness, people skills and respect. It would help the practice to provide office personnel with patient relations and sensitivity training, especially because this is a psychiatric center. I am a counselor and I am appalled with the way I was treated while trying to secure an appointment for my child. I can now understand why previous patients felt compelled to submit a bad review of this practice.

Rude and makes you feel bad even when you are already vulnerable.

I met Dr. Carrillo at the Sharp McDonald Center and my experience there lead me to her private practice. I have had truly horrible experiences with psychiatrists, and with that as a reference point, I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Carrillo. She found a combination of medications that works well for me, and she has always been very professional and easy to communicate with.

I have never felt so uncomfortable at the doctor. She was downright rude & almost made me cry at one point, asking me condescending questions such as why I went into my field of work given my college major. When I told her that there was no business major at my school, she came back at me with "well you could have done economics". I also had been to her office one year prior & she didnt review my file so I had to tell her EVERYTHING again. She didn't even pretend to remember who I was. Horrible
