Dreadful Experience - Total substandard care
First of all my My Health Insurance United Healthcare gave me no choice but to go with Ann Bass, I had heard negative feedback about her but it was her or no treatment at all! When I had an MS set back and was house bound she insisted I have three separate MRI's requiring three separate doctor's visits before she would approve a steroid infusion, the only thing that touches what I was experiencing at the time. When I could not comply they never followed up or n checked if I was ok, I never heard from them agai

Doctor barely did a superficial medical examination. Gave me a list of the medications for Multiple Sclerosis, told me to read them and choose the medication by myself. She use in the first visit a non professional language such as: “ F. Y. I. “ I had to ask my daughter who was in Highschool what was the meaning of FYI.Dr. Bass behavior was improper and disrespectfull.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bass' for over 20 years. She always listen and we make decisions on my care together. I truly believe I'd be worse off without her care and guidance.

Dr Bass is very knowledgeable and explains MS and the issues with it well. Yes, you might have to wait awhile, but that is because she will take the time to answer ALL QUESTIONS. I have had in-person appointments and tele-visits. Both ran smooth. There is a problem with the message system, but i understand they are working on it. I believe that im doing as well as i am because Dr. Bass has been attentive to my care. If i had been with a different neurologist, i can not know if my symptoms would have been in such good control. She is my favorite doctor and im grateful for the care i receive.

Gave Me Back My Life!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Bass for 15 years! Was diagnosed with MS by her, and was in the CAMPATH II study. Yes, times are difficult right now, but they are everywhere! I would LITERALLY be in a wheelchair right now if not for Dr. Bass, so I can go thru a little inconvenience while her office gets back on track. She’s the BEST! She LISTENS to you and won’t dismiss your ailments with “it’s just in your HEAD” like I heard from SO MANY doctors for SO MANY YEARS before I found her! And I agree with the other reviewer, that Margie Aguilar in the Infusion Center is the BEST also! So sad that she’s not my “personal nurse” anymore, since the CAMPATH Study is over now…Marlene Evetts

Horrible Communication
I had one successful visit. That was six months ago. I have been trying desperately to set another appointment because my meds have run out, and my condition is deteriorating without them. I've called the office at least a dozen times in the past two weeks, and there is no option to speak to anyone. I've tried leaving a message with their service, but they wouldn't take a message. I was told to "call back." Dr. Bass and her team could care less about the patient.

Rude and Unprofessional Office Staff
I was a patient of a former neurologist at this practice. I NEVER was notified that my Neurologist retired. My preventative medications just kept being automatically refilled when my pharmacy would call in refill requests to this office. 3 months ago was my last 90 day supply of the medication that I need EVERY DAY, and I wasn't notified of that until the 2nd to my last day that I was to have any medication left. It took me two days to even speak to anyone in that office. Voicemail boxes were always full, and no one would call back. When I finally did, the girl on the phone was so incredibly rude, and all but insulted me multiple times for not knowing that my previous neurologist had retired (which I never was notified about). When I explained to her that I no longer had my medication, she basically told me that was my problem and my fault for not coming in for an appointment. When I asked to speak with someone else who could help me, she forwarded me to a full voicemail box.

Can't access her
Sounds like Dr. Bass can help you *if* you can get into see her. You can call but never get a live person. You're advised instead to leave a voice message, but you can't even do that because you always get the recording, "This voice mailbox is full." If Dr. Bass and her staff do not want to see patients, that's their prerogative; but why not do people the courtesy of saying so, so we won't waste our time? Unbelievable.

I arrived, as directed, 15 minutes ahead of schedule to update paperwork. I filled out the paperwork and was taken back to a room for vitals. I was told that I was next and the doctor was currently with another patient. I waited for 90 MINUTES. And still no doctor, no PA, no one to explain why such an egregious delay. When I went to reception and explained, even she couldn’t find anyone to tell. I left to make my next appointment. I understand things are difficult right now. So quit over scheduling. I tired calling six times to discuss this with the office and each time sat on hold with no live person ever answering.

Unfortunately, I can see that I am not the only one who feels the frustration with this Doctor’s office. There is a saying that despite if it’s the Doctors fault or not whether things are bad in the office it’s still always their responsibility how the practice is run. This office has no communication with patients, not with each other. They complain about everything, even though it’s their job. They will never return calls, portal messages etc. If you do get to speak to someone they brush you off quickly and never give a direct answer. It is so hard to obtain an appointment, and get them to schedule you for anything Dr. Bass orders. At the end of the day it is the Physicians fault because she j it’s these things are happy and does nothing to improve this. I speak from experience after years of dealing with this office. They take you for granted being that there is not that many MS specialist in this área . Dr. Bass may be a very knowledgeable Dr. but her office staff isnt

Dr. Ann Bass is a highly knowledgeable neurologist. She treats me for Multiple Sclerosis, as this is her specialty. Until seeing her, I had been misdiagnosed and mid medicated for almost 7 years. Had it not been for her, I would still be bed bound. Her staff is just as fantastic. When I have questions, I can email the doctor and she emails me back. I have been to many doctors over the years as I have multiple illnesses. She is the best. I’ve referred several patients. They love her as well.

Would really like to leave a 5-star recommendation, but can't get a call back for an appointment. I've left 4 phone voice messages with her office and have not received a call back. Looking for another doctor. I was a patient of Dr. Wenzel's for years. He left the practice and per a letter from him advising his plans, I understood Dr. Bass would treat his patients.

She is always running behind / late. I have had to wait over 2 hours after my scheduled appointment time to finally see her. She doesn't seem to care about my situation at all as our consultations are only 5 minutes long when I do finally get to see her. Her office seems to be behind on paperwork. I have to call them every time I need insurance authorization or a prescription refill because they don't seem to answer requests from the pharmacy. So frustrating!!!
