Dr. Ann Bahrani, MD

I will never go back to Dr. Bahrani. Like other reviews, she spends no time with me other than ‘to leave well enough alone’ on my meds. I needed her to sign off on something for my job to say that I’m healthy and stable (I’ve never been unstable, just anxiety and depression issues. I mean, who doesn’t have those these days?) She flat out refused. Said it was impossible because if something ‘happened’ it would all fall on her. I asked her can we change my meds to something not on this regulation list? NOPE. Wouldn’t even entertain the idea. She looked at the form....hardly skimmed it and told me again it was impossible, I should go to another dr and lie to them or I should just quit my job and get a different one. It was crushing and wholly bizarre. Beyond unprofessional, rude, and honestly, I doubted her competency a bit before- it’s now solid. She should not be practicing any more.

This is very sad. I have been waiting to see for almost 3 years. Finally I secure an appointment. After waiting and watching I am feeling less and less confident that she would be helpful. She didn't get my name right after 3 tries then looks at my file. Says rules have changed and she can't see me while I am receiving meds from pain clinic. Never once did she even ask how I was. I hope she is able to help someone. She is very old and hard of hearing. Why can't I get a white American.

Dr. Bahrani is the worst psychiatrist I've ever met! She has no people skills. I'll never go back to her. Not only did she not let me talk, she proceeded to tell me how I should feel great on my meds when in reality I was feeling suicidal and she did not give me a chance to tell her that! Unbelievable. Second, she did not give me all my meds because she did not agree with my previous Dr., which is fine. However, she told me I must have been mistaken about my meds and was completely condescending

I’ve been a patient of Dr.Bahrani for approximately 5 years - she hears me when I speak I do not have to lean closer - she has never been rude or interrupted me , never been in a hurry, never forgetful , always asks me about my son and my family, continuing where we left off from prior visit - she has lowered my dosage of medicine multiple times which shows her professionalism and efficiency in her overall diagnosis / treatment of my condition - very good doctor she is !

She can’t remember my name even when it’s on the patient file in front of her. Every time she writes my prescription she asks me if she has to write out my full name. Every appointment I’ve had lasts maybe 3 minutes tops and that’s being generous. Most time spent she is trying to remember who I am and what conditions I have then before I’m given a chance to discuss how my medication is working she just assumes it’s working fine and writes me a perscription for more of it.

She seemed to be hard of hearing and was forgetful about important information. I had to repeat the information twice, lean in closer, and repeat things louder. As a professional who has done psychiatry for 60 years, I expected someone who did not jump to conclusion from first intake. I think it is her time to retire and leave it to the younger generations to do the practice.

Inconsiderate to say the least. She does not listen to you. She speaks over you. And everytime you come in, it's like you're meeting for the first time because she can't seem to remember anyone. How she got into this profession baffles me. Do not see this woman. She is a joke and does nothing to help anyone. Just like to pump you full of pills then expect you to be better without listening.
