Not a good Dr. Look elsewhere.
Very dissatisfied as Dr Dhar used to be really good but over the years I’ve seen a huge decline in her demeanor and helpfulness as a physician. Dr now does not listen, rushes through appointments, prescribes meds for conditions not diagnosed only based on what she thinks. High staff turn over every 3 months or less. No one EVER answers the phones in her office and she is rude if you email for answers and ask you to be respectful of her time. Absolutely terrible now. Will be looking for a new DR. as she is no longer a caring concerned or advocating for the patient type of DR.Her email response: Dhar, Anitha S, M.D. Please avoid sending multiple messages on same issue in lieu of my time. Thanks! Like not everyone’s time is important?

Long time patient – Apr 18, 2024

Wonderful Care
Dr. Anitha Dhar is an outstanding physician. I've been her patient for nearly 15 years. I trust her and have never questioned her expertise and knowledge. She's direct (which we all need but sometimes don't want) and offers professional service at all times. Her front office staff are inviting and her nurses are engaging and caring. Unless she decides to stop practicing medicine, Dr. Dhar will remain my primary care physician.

I felt as though this provider was bias and can stereotype you base on who you are. If you really need medical care other than office visits, I highly recommend that you elsewhere. She was limited to the medical care she provided to me. Also, I noticed that every 3 months, there is new staff throughout the office. There is no stability and the staff can come across as rude. The only way you can communicate with her in regards to your care is by emailing and you have to go through her MA for answers of your care. You really don’t know if she is relaying your concerns over to the doctor.

Avoid office if possible – Oct 17, 2022
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Dhar?
My husband was a patient and very sick he made appointment and they wouldn’t see him until he had Covid test and would have to come back. He did the test but left the office bc he was so sick never to return. I got him in immediately with my gastroenterologist the very next morning and he was treated, set up with a CT and they have found a very aggressive cancer. I will go on to say that the visit b4 he was told he was borderline diabetic, maybe a little more testing then would have found the cancer a couple of months sooner since his tumors are now the size of grapefruit and larger. Covid is scary and people are heavy but when someone knows their body isn’t right and they’re begging for help in the right place the professional should take the time to listen and follow up. It’s not the desk clerks place to decide what’s wrong with the patient, that’s why we pay the doctors and maybe this could have turned out differently for my husband. Again he will never return to this office.

This office is ridiculous. I've been a patient for years but I'm finding a new Dr. You can't reach them by phone, I've left several messages this past month alone to try to fix the insurance information and PAY them but they won't return my calls. They try to force you to do everything through their web portal. Then I scheduled an appointment for 2:45 but apparently the nurse put it on their schedule as 2:15 .. I show p at 2:30 and they won't see me and the waiting room was EMPTY! then they wanted to schedule for 4 more days out?? What? The Dr. is nice but the staff is not terribly friendly and the way they run their office are sub par. Moving on, tired of this place.

This office is very slow to respond, they never return calls or answer the phone. It's apparent the staff are overworked or her patient load is too much to handle. Beware and be cautious that it could take several days before you hear back from them. they don't call in prescriptions as promised.

I have had great experiences with Dr.Dhar and her staff. She is very good at explaining everything that comes up during a visit, and is very non-judgemental and professional when asking questions about my lifestyle and health. The only thing I would give as advice to potential patients is that the visits are very straight to the point , so if you have multiple concerns you should mention them when you schedule the appointment.

I have gone to see Dr Dhar a handful of times in the past year. The first time I saw her, I hadn't been to a Dr in 3 yrs, since my son was born. I asked for a physical because I just felt like something was off in my body. Without doing blood work or anything, she told me I was being paranoid and prescribed me antidepressants. Later I went to the er & was told I had cysts on my ovaries. Fast fwd 6 months later, I go back to dhar for more cyst problems & she prescribes IBS med, Er fixed that too.
