Super arrogant doctor!
Super arrogant and made my daughter and I feel like we were the scum of the earth! I couldn’t believe how poorly she treated my daughter. She didn’t even examine my daughter or ask her questions. She made sure we felt stupid for coming in. I would NEVER recommend Dr Iyer!

Dissapointed
I was really disappointed with Dr Iyer and Sona Dermatology. After seeing her 6 times over the course of the past year, she did not resolve the issue I came in with. She continued to be misleading about length of treatment or when the issue would get resolved. She neglected to tell me how to use the cream properly, leading me to apply it for months in an improper fashion. When I had questions for her through the portal, she was unable or unwilling to take the time to answer them for me directly. Sona Dermatology comes across as money grabbers, making everything transactional. Overall, I felt like her (and the practice) cared less about seeing my symptoms resolve and more about making money. They continued to mention that they couldn’t do anything as they are a corporation, putting any and all frustration on the customer. I asked her and their practice manager a couple times to come up with a win/win scenario, and they were unwilling to offer any form of viable solution. Dr. Iyer and So

Pleasant
Who in the world enjoys going in for their annual? But every time I’ve been Dr Iyer spends time with me. She answers my questions, we share a story or two, she’s patient and she’s kind. She makes an uncomfortable situation bearable. I can’t speak for anyone else. I can only say from my own experience she’s lovely.

Not conscientious
I was diagnosed with breast cancer, she didn’t contact me after the diagnosis with information about how I should proceed. Do not go to her.

ZERO care for new moms
I called to schedule time with a doctor in the practice since I was struggling with postpartum depression/anxiety. Was told since I was past 6-8 weeks and my baby was 7 months I no longer was considered postpartum and they couldn't see me. Told me to see a PCP even tho I said I don't have one and my therapist suggested I contact my OBGYN to talk about medication. I left a voicemail for the supervisor, got a call back but never any action. Called again and no response. In addition to REALLY long wait times when you are there for your appointment, I would look elsewhere since this practice clearly only cares about making money off you on your pregnancy appointment and don't care about you after.

Dr. Iyer was on call when I was going into labor with my son. She was very unprofessional and rude. She had a horrible attitude the entire time because she had to leave a birthday party. She also was chewing and popping her gum near my open area. It was disgusting behavior. The other staff was great and very helpful, I felt at ease with the nurses in the room. She made me feel very uncomfortable.

Would not recommend. She doesn't respect the patients time. Was left in the examining room for 50 minutes, for a 15 second explanation of a ultrasound. Her explanation, (with attitude), for the wait was, other patients ask a lot questions, so it had nothing to do with any procedure. I have a strange feeling she was talking with a friend. What doctor is in an examining room with you for 50 minutes, never in my experiences. Even surgeons never spend more than 15 minutes with you. Pick another one of their doctors.

I really enjoy my time with Dr. Iyer. I think she is an honest practitioner who cares about my health. She keeps it very real and I appreciate that. She typically does not run on schedule but she answers all of my questions and makes me feel very comfortable as a patient.

Dr. Iyer is very brutal while doing pelvic exams. When asking questions, she rolls her eyes and judges you. She talks down to the patient. I hope I don’t get her for my delivery.

Run very far away if you want to have a healthy & a live baby. She misdiagnosed my pregnancy as an ectopic one and she rushed me to the emergency room for a "minor" surgery. The next morning I found myself in a hospital bed & my ovary removed.I spent a week in the hospital and "Dr." Iyers never came to see me or explain what happened in that surgery room as she was too busy. She sent her colleague who kept saying he didn't have all the answers b/c he did not perform the surgery.Incompetent.Shady.

She should not be alowed to touch any patients. A sadistic arogant "doctor" from your worst nightmare. She delivered my child who was a healthy beautiful boy in a perfect position. Last day she performed weird painful procedure not explaining what she was doing and why ( she never does). I could feel my baby crawl up under my ribs trying to avoid her painful fingers. She flipped him over and I delivered 9.5 baby face up all bruised and deformed. He is healthy today. But Iyer badly ruined my labor
