You might as well wait in a clinic
Do you have health insurance? If you go to this doctor's office you'll feel like you are in a clinic. Hot, crowded and you will wait. Go to a clinic for better service. Pathetic.

Ok, now he is a great doctor!
The visit from check-in with his PA, who performed an EKG on both me and my husband, to meeting Dr. Koka, was perfect. This doctor was precise, knowledgeable , and has a great personality. His personableness was comforting. Glad I googled best Cardiologist in my area!

A friendly, caring and accomplished physician.
Despite the small, crowded office (or maybe because of it) every visit to Dr. Koka is a pleasant, personal experience. Dr. Koka obviously cares about his patients and is happy to help them: so different from the 'mega-hospital' physicians I've seen in the past. He is efficient without being pressured and his diagnoses and treatments have been spot on. I consider myself very lucky to have been connected to him via my PCP.

Excellent
Dr Koka was patient, soft spoken and listened to my concerns. I asked questions and he answered me in language I can understand. A true professional.

Would be a zero if possible
Dr. Koka as mentioned by 6 other people on here was terrible. Didn’t listen , over talked me at least 7 times, did not listen to my medical limitations. When I asked if it was my turn to talk he said “no”. He kept repeating insignificant things and when he stopped talking at me I said is it my time to talk to which he said “no”. Are you kidding? What doctor Koka did not know is I was a clinician for 20 years and know the standard of care and how unprofessional and condescending he was, which again 6 people on Healthgrades said the same thing. I go to Healthgrades to check or report these things because they can’t buy reviews or make the bad ones disappear. He definitely has the god complex and thinks he can bully people around. When I asked if there was someone above he I could speak to hr said “no”. When in fact there is both an owner and office manager who was great. As were the nurses and other staff. Not this time doc.

I’ve been going to this office since I was a teen.
The office used to be so great, unfortunately since covid the professionalism haven’t been the same. Dr.Koka is the owner of the practice.Dr. Roseili my primary care gave me a script for a mammogram but since I was young wasn’t able to get any apt. Ok, well as I explained to office servals times, about not able to get an apt, they advise for ultrasound. I spoke with servals Doctors and they advise mammogram is needed because of my family history. I had a very difficult time to schedule the apt, I ask the front desk will they be able too help They choose not to help, advise I should just do the ultrasound & I’ll get the same result. First and foremost no one whose not a doctor should be telling you what to do especially with family history of cancer. They was very unprofessional, Spoke with Dr. Koka very rude and just laugh while I was explaining my concerns, told me I should go find a new care physician. Honestly, after today I will and never come back.Just disrespectful, nasty-attitud

If you want to feel small and less than, go here!
I went to see Dr. Koka after I was referred by my primary care physician for chronic leg pain and recurring numbness in my arms. I was excited to figure out what’s wrong after 30 years of mystery! Dr. Koka took that joy away from me. After waiting for an hour in the very packed, very small waiting room, I was invited to sit in an exam room where Dr. Koka came in, talked at me for 4 minutes and performed a circulation (?) test. It was normal. He never asked my history. He didn’t look into what my primary care physician wanted me to have done. He didnt seem to care. Instead, he told me he doesn’t perform testing on young, healthy adults like myself. Except.. he didn’t know if I was healthy. He never asked. Instead, when I told him I had chronic undiagnosed pain for 30 years he said “your story isn’t strong enough” and sent me on my way. I was charged $250 for a visit that made me cry in the elevator as I left and for a doctor to assume I had a pill addiction and wanted narcotics.

I'm Only Looking for Baseline Compassion
Staff at this office had recommended a psychiatrist to me because I've been trying to find one. At my last visit when it came up, I explained to the nurse that I could not afford to see that particular doctor as they were not covered by insurance and an appointment would be $400, and how I preferred to see someone in-network if possible. Dr. Koka entered the room and, instead of understanding that patients have different needs & it is important to express them when seeking resources, he told me that "Psychiatrists need to pay rent too." I was totally flabbergasted and felt as if I had somehow offended the staff. To be honest I was afraid I was going to cry. I felt uncomfortable and condescended to. Sure psychiatrists have to pay rent but that day I had $50 in my account and was trying to figure out if I could get a ride to donate plasma for money. It is discouraging enough to live that way but then to try to find healthcare where your conditions are respected is its own battle.

We met Dr Koka in intensive care at Jefferson after my husbands stroke a year and a half ago. He and his staff are the most caring & efficient. He has gotten my husband out of AFIB and Gives encouraging words and support along with his award winning skills! Along with Dr Koka, Andy, Deneen, Michelle go out of there way to make you feel like a valued patient! The caring atmosphere is second to none! We highly recommend Dr Koka and his team! Started having palpitations and was able to get a next day appointment with Koka. He got me an electronic Holter monitor and I was all cleared in just about ten days. Pretty quick, easy experience in my opinion. Also, Andy his RN is awesome.

Anish Koka is a decent doctor in terms of diagnosing and listening to a patient. Unfortunatley, his manners, his attitude, and his office staff's attitude is the most atrocious experience I've had in the medical industry. I took my fiance to an appointment with Koka after he passed out while driving in November of 2018. The ER doctors suggested seeing a cardiologist just to be safe. When we saw him, Koka was very pleasant and helpful. We told him that my fiance had a sleep study scheduled for January as that was the earliest appointment we could get. He alternatively suggested an in home test that he said he would order for us and get to us in 2 weeks. Months went by with us following up with his office staff, who at first said they didn't know and would call back, then said they never placed the order. We finally got the in home test in January, sent it back within 3 days, and waited for results. Again, several weeks went by until we finally called Koka's office and then they gave us

Dr. Koka is our family cardiologist. He cares for four members of our family. He has literally saved the lives of my husband and daughter. He is kind, caring, knowledgeable and up to date on technology that other doctors are not. He promptly responds to phone calls or emails. I like that he performs his own EKG, Echo Cardiograms and stress tests right in his office, no waiting for days for results. He explains and answers questions so we understand exactly what is going on. Wonderful doctor!

Right from remote contact and front desk assistance nothing has been helpful to my heart condition. Impolite front desk assistance service , robot encounter with technician service, and it felt like the doctor feels "lucky me ...got an opportunity to charge insurance"

Dr. Koka is one of the best cardiologist I've ever met. I credit him with saving my life at Jefferson Hospital when I coded. He continues to care for me and is very easy to talk to and understand. Recently, Dr. Koka helped my sister's life by getting her on the right medication when she had a life threatening condition that could've killed her. My sister was misdiagnosed down in South Jersey and had begged her to get it up to Jefferson. I also have best friend that Dr. Koka treats for afib. BEST
