This doctor did not wash his hands before touching my face and examining my eyes.I’m still in disbelief that he is a licensed ophthalmologist. He did not examine my eyes to figure out why I have symptoms of an eye infection. He instead relied on the initial examination results that were completed by his medical assistant. And when I noted that I was not there to be seen for dry eyes, but rather for what appeared to be an eye infection, he did not bother to examine my eyes by biomicroscopy or any follow up examinations that were done by his medical assistant. This was a waste of my time, money, and I will not be back.

Highly Likely
I went to Dr Patkar in Feb of 2022 for a detached retina. After examination he preformed surgery and to reattach the retina. Surgery was fast, painless and everything went well and as described by Dr Petkar. Now 1 year later, my vision is back to pre-surgery standards.

Horrible experience!
I was told I needed eye injections for inflammation in one eye. I never saw pictures, he couldn’t explain the cause. Procedures were rushed! There was no communication as to what to expect, or when to expect improvement. In fact, my vision in the one eye got worse. My last experience he didn’t even give the numbing drops time to take affect before he tried to inject the needle into my eye. He literally waited less then one minute!I was supposed to go back for another injection but no! I won’t be doing that! I would never recommend Petkar! Not ever!

I've been seeing Dr. Petkar for over a year. He performed three surgeries on my left eye with excellent results each time. He is patient and explains everything that is going to happen, and he's just a damn nice guy. I would recommend him to anyone.

As a nurse myself for 25 yrs I’m usually so picky on giving 5 stars to an MD. But I took my 76 yrs old mother today for her injection. Dr.Petkar have a calming Voice and wonderful bedside manners my mom was so at ease when she received her eye injection. Dr. Petkar deserves more than 5 stars. He cares about his patients so much and his one of a kind , with a good heart. Thanks for everything.

Yes. He is a very kind and compassionate Doctor. I felt like he cared for me as a person. He explained my treatment and worked with my insurance. He encouraged me as I had more than 12 eye Injections and a laser surgery. I saw Dr Petkar for 26 months. I had a very good outcome!

My husband has been seeing Dr. Petkar for vision issues that were caused by diabetes. He is currently being seen by Dr. Petkar for a detached retina due to diabetic complications, which required surgery. He listened to our concerns and addressed all questions asked. He also provided details with what the surgery would entail and provided specific after care instructions. Post surgery care appointment was immediately available the next day, which put our minds at ease. Dr. Petkar's continued follow up care through this process has been exceptional and led to a successful outcome. My husband and I highly recommend Dr. Petkar for any vision issues, especially those related to diabetes. Definitely a 5 star doctor.

He did not explain my procedure to me thoroughly. I felt like he was in a hurry and wanted to be done with me. I asked him multiple questions and he kept disregarding them. I wasn't happy at all! He didnt explain my condition to me and just said he will give me a shot in my eye. He needs to have more patience with his patients instead of rushing out of there like he doesn't care. At the end I even said thank you very much and he had no response back, so I said it again and still no response. Never going to him again!

My visits with Dr. Petkar went very well. He took the time to show me what was going on with my eye. The diagnosis, the treatment, how long it would take to heal. What to expect. He was very thourugh. Dr. Petkar worked very well with his staff. His MA was very kind and explained what she was going to do and what to expect. I would recommend Dr. Petkar to anyone who needs a Retinal specialist! Thank you Fr. Petkar & Staff!

He does not wear gloves and I do not know if he washes his hands between patients. He is habitually late and does not apologize. He has poor communication skills and does not explain the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment options. He gave me a shot in my eye and he did it so fast it felt like a stab. It hurt so bad. I have had eye shots before by other doctors and it never hurt nearly this bad. He scares me and I do not trust him.
