Dr. Anil Chandel, MD

I was referred to Dr. Chandel by my PCP under high priority given abnormal test results and family history. Dr. Chandel berated me for seeing him, asking why I was there and saying I obviously needed cardiology follow-up instead. I am the patient. I can't just choose to see him on my own (referral required) and if it was that clear I didn't need to see him, it would've been nice to know ahead of time so I didn't spend $800 to be treated like a self-indulgent idiot who should know better than to follow their PCP's instructions. Clearly he didn't read my chart ahead of time, and instead of addressing it with my doctor as would be appropriate, he wasted my time & money and left me in tears.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Chandel. He explains everything perfectly and is extremely professional. If I had to change Dr's, I'd cry. I think he's amazing

Hard to understand due to thick accent. All he would do during my visits is sleeping Mr how I was feeling and look at my blood work and send me out the door with a bill for 400 dollars. If I didn't do this he would withhold refilling my prescription medication, which was the only thing helping me.

Office staff were difficult to deal with; received three different answers about when I could/should have a thyroid ultrasound. When I had the appointment the information the ultrasound technician gave me was vastly different from what Dr. Chandel told me. Even though several previous ultrasounds showed lesions he said they were probably nothing and to wait 2-3 years to repeat the test. The ultrasound report is so brief that it is completely useless. I would never recommend this physician.
