BEST eye doctor
I have been a patient for almost 15 years, the only reason I can no longer see Dr. Palanca-Capistrano is because we moved away from Corona last year. She is very attentive, caring and kind, especially in 2023, I had an emergency where I woke up and could not see out of one eye. Dr. Capistrano immediately arranged with the ER doctor to see me right away and took the time to make sure that I was ok.

Terrible doctor that did my Aunt’s surgery and she didn’t even care to see her to see what she had done to her eyelids.

Long time patient, thankful for excellent care.
I am a retired RN, and office manager, so I feel I have some experience in evaluating my care-givers. Dr. Capistrano provides excellent monitoring of my glaucoma, and other vision problems. She uses with the latest appropriate procedures, tailored to me and my needs. I appreciate her professionalism. She explains things clearly. It's important to trust one's doctor, particularly when it comes to eye care, and I've never doubted her. The office is run efficiently as well, and I have felt safe during the pandemic. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Capistrano to any one needing ophthalmic care.

Excellent Ophthalmologist
Excellent Doctor, caring, excellent skills. I had cataract surgery and I had ZERO pain, greatly increased vision, brightness and clarity in that eye. It was the easiest surgery I’ve had ( I’ve had several). I would definitely recommend Dr Capistriano to anyone who needs eye care.

When I first met Dr. Angel Capistrano, I immediately felt calm and at home. I felt confident in her abilities because I know that she already did a great job on performing the cataract surgeries of my parents. I knew that with her i was going to be okay and safe... Her staff were all very professional, caring and accomodating in answering all my inquiries. Dr. Capistrano, upon learning my situation, mobilized everything and made sure that i could have my surgery set up by referring me to a primary physician and assisting me with all the tests necessary for me to be cleared for the surgery. After the procedure, I can now see better! I am so grateful for Dr. Capistrano's skill and professionalism! I cannot praise her enough! I am a very satisfied patient.

Dr. Angelita is The Best doctor I have ever met in my life. My insurance was ending in 10 days and my primary care doctor reached out to her to accommodate me for my much needed Cataract surgery. She very gladly accommodate me in her busy schedule and completed my surgery very successfully. She is very professional, passionate and an expert in her field. She also arranged follow-up visits for me to make sure that I was recovering well. Every time, I visited her office, she was very kind, caring

I was referred to Dr.Capistrano’s office by my insurance . The office was crowded the first day I went to see the Dr. but there were days that it was not. I had to get cataract surgery on my left eye and the proper due process was followed by the Dr. and her staff. I was given post/pre operative instructions and transportation was provided to and from the Surgery Center. I asked for “perfect vision” after the surgery and I got 20/20 vision now. Thank you Dr.Capistrano.

The doctor is very rude, ended up at her office because emergency room doctor set an urgent appointment for my husband. To make it worse, doctors office is billing us for services and visit that didn't even happen. Overall experience terrible!

I was very impressed with Dr. Angelita Palanga-Capistrano. She was thorough and proactive. When I shared some irregularities in my vision, she immediately broadened the scope of examination to include scans and in-depth diagnostics. She ran her findings through a colleague that specialized in retinas before she carefully explained her initial findings in detail and recommended I see a retina specialist. My vision is much better thanks to her. Definitely worth the wait!

This is the worst experience I've ever had with any doctor. Appointments are scheduled every 10-15 minutes. The wait is horrible, plus there is no where to sit. Had to stand in entry way for over an hour. Dr. Capistrano is very unprofessional. First thing she said to me, Why are you here, I hardly see kids ( referring to my 7 year old daughter). Who says that? You are in a profession to help, I was sent there by the Pediatrician. The way she talked to me, was inexcusable.

Dr gave me an explanation of all the procedure and of her diagnosis, but I wish her referral was at a closer to home location my wife can't drive after her back surgery and arranged transportation was extremely difficult to arrange. Something closer would save time and $

We waited over 45 minutes before being seen by dr for less than 10 minutes only to be told she does not treat my issues after travelling over an 1 hr to office. I had requested notes on day of visit to primary, unfortunately 24 days later neither my primary or myself have received any notes for a 3rd referral to address eye issue in the past 2 years. Office claims no record of either my primary or myself calling which is false considering I have call logs stating how many times I have called.
