Dr. Rios perscribed me Acetaminophen WITH CODEINE for pain before fully confirming I had miscarried. He wanted me to get an ultrasound at another office to confirm miscarriage, but told me to take the pill with codeine to help with pain in the mean time. After asking several times about the risks and potential harm this medicine could do to my baby if I was not miscarrying, he reassured me that Codeine would not affect my baby. When I went to fill the perscription, the pharmacist was OUTRAGED that a provider would prescribe this to a pregnant woman, not knowing with 10000% certainty that I had miscarried.

Dr. Rios was my doctor when I miscarried at 8 weeks. He chuckled when confirming I had miscarried, smirked, and said 'Sorry this one didn't work out, but just know if you get pregnant 10 times, you'll lose 4 of them.' Don't know where he gets these statistics from, but his lack of compassion and inconsiderate way of delivering news was outrageous. When asked if I would receive follow up care (blood work to make sure my levels had gone back to normal, follow up ultrasounds to confirm I had completely passed everything) he disregarded the question and said 'I'll see you in 3 months if you want to try again.'

Despite a wonderful staff and short wait times, Dr Rios is not a good listener. He ordered tests I'd recently completed. He ignored my concerns. He seems set in his ways- forgetting in today's world patients are much better informed. The patriarchal model is disintegrating.

Very nice Doctor, very little wait time as a new patient. Takes care of all of you're doubts and questions and definitely demonstrates he cares and does everything to diagnose and treat any problem you're experiencing. I would just really like if ultrasounds and blood work would be done in office and results could be given and discussed over the phone, just for better patient accommodations. I will definitely be coming back with this Doctor.
