Dr. Allen was very thorough and answered all of my questions and told me what I needed to look for. She was right on time! No doctor does that anymore. I highly recommend her and so happy I made the switch.

Worst Doctor I have ever encountered
Dr. Allen is terrible. When you pay someone for their expertise and they make you feel dumb for coming in, it really lets you know the type of person she is. Complete joke.

Unprofessional
Being a patient of Dr. Allen's for 6 years, it is very unprofessional of her to not notify patients she has closed her office in Jefferson City, Missouri. I starting trying to contact Dr. Allen in October regarding my November appointment, which needed to be rescheduled due to another health issue. I continually looked at the office web page, which said the office was open from 8:00-5:00, for updates. Seeing the web page stating the office was open, I would call Dr. Allen's office only to receive a recording that I needed to check the number I dialed. One month after unsuccessfully trying to reach Dr. Allen, I find an update to her web page that the office is permanently closed. She left Missouri without a care to her patients. It's difficult to get an appointment as a new patient with any health care provider. Dr. Allen gave no notice that she was leaving the state of Missouri so that patients could begin finding a new dermatologist.

Poor care and disinterest in patient care
Very poor. Very distant and not at all helpful in care. Receptionist was much more helpful than the doctor.

Worst doctor I have ever visited. Went in for an exam and she spent 10 seconds looking at me and left the room. Extremely disappointed our medical professionals are allowed to act this way.

Dr Allen is friendly enough but doesn't do much education. When she biopsied a lesion for skin cancer, and it came back positive for squamous cell carcinoma, she had her secretary call me with the diagnosis. I don't think this is appropriate. I was very upset about the diagnosis. A little education BY THE DOCTOR, would have calmed me down. Fortunately, the oncology surgeon did a lot of education and made me feel much more confident. I will not return to her.

She was dismissive, a bit rude and didn’t seem to care about my other skin issues. I felt like I was an interruption to her day as opposed to her treating me like a patient and a person with concerns. The appointment was very uncomfortable and I fell like I was just a number and income. I acquired infections at every spot she treated. Never going back.

Dr. Allen told me a growth on my face was a mole and not to worry about it. Thank goodness my family doctor noticed it and suggested someone else look at it. It was biopsied and positive for skin cancer.

I did not feel that she was professional or caring. I was on the phone after my appointment and she, the receptionist and nurse all left immediately after my appointment around 4:00pm. She wanted no records, didn't ask I needed any send to other specialists I see for my psoriatic arthritis which I'm having issues with. We have recently moved here so I need doctors who worked together or at least that's what I've had in the past. It was just a totally worthless appointment!
