This guy needs a lesson in bedside manner
He is the rudest, judgemental doctor i have meet. Living in a small northern az community 80% of patients are going to be elderly he needs better bedside manner. I went to my local er and I was not checked throughly for my issue. I got light in my ear with no cap and proceed to use same scope up my nose. He didn't listen to chest sounds, didn't check my tenderness i expressed in my face lymph node in jaw. Judged me and asked if I was diabetic cause I'm chubby. I felt degraded and judged. I take care of very sick elderly mom and I'm scared to take her in there if he is ever working and will request someone else.
What went well

  • I didn't feel respected
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Staff wasn't friendly
  • Appointment was rushed
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

Problematic encounter in Tempe AZ ER
This doctor was rude and condescending from the moment we met because he thought we shouldn't have come to the almost empty emergency room at 3am (all the urgent care were closed). He then proceeded to tell us that strep throat is not contagious from person to person and that if my son was coughing that it couldn't be strep because strep doesn't cause coughing. He also referred to our genetic condition, HEDS, saying it 'attacks the connective tissue' and we knew he had no idea what he was talking about about. He did not listen to my son's lungs even though we were there for difficulty breathing. It's ok if he doesn't like a patient personally but to allow that to affect the level of care he provides is unacceptable. We were paying customers with good insurance and were not given the level of care one would expect from a professional in an emergency setting.
