Excellent professionalism
1- The surgical outcome was excellent.2- Both my wife and I thought his professionalism and manner were exceptional3- I received the level of care and attention to detail that I desired. My surgery was in 2015 and my elbow has been great ever since.

I went to see Dr Tyser a few weeks ago at the recommendation of my physical therapist, who had found a bone spur in my finger during one of my visits. We both felt hopeful that this would be a minor surgery, and my PT recommended Dr Tyser do the surgery. All these feelings of hope were quickly dashed by Dr Tyser, who was dismissive of my injury. He pulled up my TWO YEAR OLD xrays and used those to look at my finger, and then he told me that the degradation in my finger was "normal for rock climbers" and "the good news and bad news is that there's nothing we can do and eventually your brain will learn to ignore it. I broke my pinky finger 20 years ago and I don't even notice it anymore." I left my appointment with Dr Tyser feeling immensely frustrated and like I hadn't been seen or heard at all. At the behest of my physical therapist, I went to get a second opinion from another surgeon. Between Dr Tyser and this new surgeon, it was like night and day difference. Not only did the new surgeon listen to my chief complaints about the bone spur, but he also diagnosed my finger with what he called a VERY obvious boutonnière injury, something that Dr Tyser had completely overlooked. With the new surgeon, I actually have a treatment plan and, almost just as important, hope that my finger can be treated. All the things that my new surgeon did, are things that Dr Tyser SHOULD have done, but did not. I don't know if it's because he's lazy or because he was too busy man-splaining to me that "sometimes you just have to live with pain" to actually look at my finger, but regardless, I can say without a doubt, do NOT go see him. Go see Dr Patrick Olson at Intermountain Healthcare in Park City instead.

Made an appointment over a month ago to see Dr. Tyser. Received a call the day before the appointment telling me that Dr. Tyser would need to review all my medical records before seeing me, that I would need to collect them, have him review and then reschedule. Could they not have told me this in the beginning when I made the appointment? Very poor on their end...

Dr. Andrew Tyser, MD is an absolutely AMAZING surgeon. I researched to find the best, and I did. He was supportive of my desire to have bilateral endoscopic surgery for my long-standing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome issues, following test results I brought from nerve conduction studies confirming the diagnosis. As of tomorrow, I am one month post-op, healing great and almost back to normal. He is worth the drive from Ogden (or anywhere) in my opinion. Down-to-earth, intelligent, friendly, capable!!
