Dr. Andrew Tsen, MD

After 4 years of pain, one failed surgery, and numerous attempts at pain management, I finally found relief with Dr. Tsen. He and his team are exceptional in the level of care they provide. Following a successful fusion surgery, I have been able to resume normal activities. including enjoying aquacise classes. I have recommended Dr. Tsen to several people and will continue to do so. I feel very fortunate to have him as my surgeon.

My back pain was so bad, I was crawling around the house to minimize pain. It was almost impossible to sleep. Dr. Tsen did a thorough exam and review of my back. He recommended surgery. I am now 100% pain free. I can do anything I want with no limitation of movement. And no pain!

Excellent bedside manner, friendly, and informative.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. My back was so bad I could barely walk. It's been about 6 months since my surgery and I'm walking over 2 miles a day plus daily activities. Dr tsen and his assistant take the time to answer questions and concerns. So far I'm beyond pleased with the results.

Dr Tsen and his team are highly professional, yet very understanding and caring about their patients concerns, pains and questions. They explained everything fully and were easy to understand. He did operate on my spine and I am now pain free with not much of a scar at all. It was a great success! I am so glad I went here and got the results I hoped for! Throughout the process, I was also given the perfect amount of pain medication to help me through the first few weeks of recovery. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Tsen and his team, including Kristen, whose empathy towards my pre-operative pain made me feel validated. They also responded quickly to the portal if I had questions. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Tsen understood the severity and urgency in which I needed to be scheduled for surgery. He was able to quickly and contritely explain to me what needed to be done and the path forward. The results speak for themselves. I am now almost 5 months post surgery and everything is still great. Finally being pain-free after multiple years of on-again/off-again pain with great severity, is a feeling that can’t easily be explained with words. It was life-altering for me- in a great and positive way!

From my first visit with Dr. Tsen and his CRNP Kristen Sykora, I knew they were amazing. I felt listened to. I never felt rushed through an appointment. They welcomed questions from myself and my husband. Dr. Tsen would not only tell me what was wrong, but would show me and explain why it may be that way and how he feels it should be fixed. I trust them both fully with my care. You can tell that he genuinely cares about you as his patient. I felt cared for physically and mentally! The support from him and Kristen was unreal. I have not experienced care like this from a surgeon or their team except from one other surgeon. Any time I would have a question, I would message through the portal and generally have a response within 24 hours. If I ever need a neurosurgeon again I will not hesitate to go back to Dr. Tsen. I highly recommend Dr. Tsen to anyone that needs to find an amazing, caring neurosurgeon!

His honest approach and confidence he could 'fix' my problem. Hopefully my feet will 'wake up' soon, as I still have balance issues.I am experiencing a very stiff lower back pain. I have to take take muscle relaxers to function.

Dr Tsen and his team are exceptional! Everyone makes you feel welcome and cared for. He thoroughly explains the plan of care, the disease process and expectations post-op. From the first day I was referred to his team they made me feel comfortable and at ease. On the day of surgery he was in constant communication with my husband regarding the surgery and immediate post op period. He answered all of his questions, no matter how silly, with kindness and compassion. The demeanor of the team made me feel welcomed like a member of the family! Anytime someone asks me for a neurosurgeon I recommend Dr. Tsen and his team!

Two (2) appointments were changed and three (3) appointments were canceled with the last 2 changes/cancelations made less than 48 hours before my appointment. There was no regard for my time, chronic pain, inability to perform basic functions, etc. His office scheduler was rude and abused her position by spitefully having my appointment canceled simply because I expressed my frustration with the continual changes and cancelations and inquired as to the reason for them. She went so far as to put a note in my medical file and did so at the direction of the practice manager.

Dr. Tsen and his entire team are amazing. They took time to answer questions and made sure I understood what to expect from my surgery. The results are better than I ever hoped. Highly recommend and would see then again if I needed it. You couldn't ask for a better team of people.

Dr. Tsen is a very caring, pleasant and talented doctor. His demeanor puts you at ease immediately. He is an expert in his field and an excellent surgeon. He doesn’t push you into surgery if there is a possible less invasive way to relieve the pain. If that doesn’t work he then proceeds to do a more invasive procedure to find the cause of the pain and takes care of it. That is what he did for me and after several years of pain, I am now pain free!!! His team is also very talented and perform their duties with excellence. They are very accessible if you have any questions or concerns and send you a message within a short time. I have already recommended Dr. Tsen to several people and will continue to do so. I highly recommend Dr. Tsen if you have any back pain!

Dr. Tsen assessed my injury quickly and prioritize my surgery. He and his team were attentive, kind and informative during my 4 day stay at LVHN Muhlenburg. In follow-up, his staff was very helpful. My appointment ran on time and again, his team was kind and informative. While a frightening situation for myself and my family, Dr. Tsen and his team helped us manage. Everyone involved in my care were respectful and professional.

Dr Tsen did an excellent job with my ACDF. I went home a day later feeling much better than when I went in. Now 8 weeks later and I am almost back to my normal self. I have Dr Tsen to thank for that.

After being strung along by LVH's competitor and having to always get back in line for the next excuse for an appointment for a procedure that didnt work or an appt for another consultation of the last appt! that was always 2.5 months out, I was tired of suffering from the constant horrible pain and the inabilty to walk more than 25 ft without taking a knee to rest no matter where I was. (I had to fake tying my shoes often to hide the inability to walk w/o pain). Finally made appt. directly with Dr Tsen after hearing how he help 3 different people. In our 1st consultaion he not only knew my condition well and recognized the pain I was in, he immediatly recommended surgery and stated it was the only way to fix it. He told me exactly what to expect and reassured me this was the route! Low and behold after4 hrs of surg and I was standing with no pain in less than an hr after waking from anestesia! Walking the halls the next morning and going home by 2 pm! OMG! Cant believe 2 years of pain
