I had surgery and 2 Times after my surgery , I had to go back to hospital and one of those times He had to go back in and fix something. THAN I got a hernia and it was getting bigger and 5 times I went to see him and he asks if I was in pain and the 3rd time I said yes but he said let's go a little bit longer and see If pain gets worse. After the 5th time, HE SAID HE DID NOT DO HERNIA SURGERY WHICH IS HIS SPECIALTY SO I FIRED HIM.I had to see a hernia surgeon in Indy who a said I needed the surgery but 1st I had to go see his General surgeon who was going to do repair on abdomen while Hernia surgeon did hernia surgery.But before I had a visit to see him, my bowels blocked because of the hernia ,so I had to have emergency surgery. IF Dr Ritchison had done the hernia surgery when it 1st appeared I would not have went through all the pain and suffering that I did

went above and beyond what he needed to do as a surgeon. He didn't even do surgery on me or my family.

Dr. Ritchison is awesome. He is an exceptional doctor who took excellent care of me. He was very caring and thorough. I was very nervous to have surgery but he explained everything ahead of time and made me feel more comfortable. My surgery went great and the outcome was perfect. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family.

Poor bedside manner as well as the follow up appt ( I went back twice) he told me he had been using the mesh for 40 yrs lol he's 41 Anyway now. I have mesh poking out of my. Abdominal wall hard telling what organs it's attached itself to as well as all this pain from ethicon physiomesh from a simple bilateral ingunal repair!! He should have had the decency to at least send me to Indy where I might b able to find a reputable surgeon because I've spoken to several and it had to come OUT ....I am

Dr. Ritchison operated on a family member of mine. Dr. Ritchison had no compassion for her. She had to go to another surgeon to get repaired after the job he did on her. I call it a "job" because that's exactly what he called it!
