Very responsive and caring office
Dr Pasternak and his office have been very helpful with my dad’s medical situation which has been confusing for us. They respond within hours to our requests and have been exceptional at listening to him and making referrals. The staff is encouraging and Dr Pasternak explains everything to him and answers all of his questions.

If you're looking for a GP, keep looking!
I've spoken with the office several times. More than once it's taken me a couple of calls for the to answer - often they seem to pick up the phone and immediately hang up - forcing one to try again. When you do get a receptionist, they behave as if they are doing YOU the favor of even speaking to you. The overall vibe is that they seem to forget common courtesy, rudeness is the goto attitude, and they behave as if they don't need patients. I want a doctor's office that is pleasant and accommodating, because, chances are, I am there because I am not well. The last thing I need is running an attitude gauntlet. I also believe that the fact that Pasternak seems to allow this tells me much about his as well!

Fat shamer
Went in for an injury and he fat shamed me. Does not seem to want to address anything except his sports med patients.

Not very kind or helpful
I came in for a check up because it’s been a really long time and I had several random concerns that I was hoping to discuss. Admittedly, I had no super major concerns and wasn’t really sure how primary care doctors work, and Dr. Pasternak seemed irritated as soon as I communicated that. It felt like every question I had made him annoyed (of course just my perception and I don’t know if that’s true) but I felt so uncomfortable that I just stopped and let him do the rest of the examination without pursuing the rest of my inquiries. I honestly have never been so uncomfortable with a doctor as I was with him. The rest of the staff were super kind and helpful, especially the woman who take my height and weight and got me all set up. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and kindness and that is definitely not what I experienced with Dr Pasternak.

Best Doctor I’ve had….
I think Dr. Pasternak is the best doctor I’ve had in my life. He is so intelligent you can practically see the wheels spinning in his head as he listens, reads your chart, and diagnoses simultaneously. His instincts are based on sound medical and logical principles. I trust him completely. His assistant and office staff are great, too. If you’re looking for someone warm and fuzzy, you might not be happy with him; if you’re looking for someone who might be a medical genius, he’s your guy.

Dr. Pasternak did not exhibit interest in aspects of mens health such as including lab testing for testosterone levels or completing a digital examination of the prostate. As an aging adult male, I consider these to be basic components of any male physical examination. I had essentially asked for a prostate exam and was told by Dr. Pasternak that he did not feel it was necessary due to my PSA levels from my lab test being within normal ranges.

The staff is always friendly. Dr. Pasternak is very knowledgeable and helpful. I have been a patient for over a year now. On several occasions they have been able to see me the day I called in, this is awesome.

This is absolutely the WORSE doctor office in Reno Nevada from the support staff to the doctors. As Doctor Andrew V. Pasternak IV had always been too busy to see me on the 3 separate occasions, I always got a physician assistant for my care. This assistant shared my medical records with non-essential staff members, and discussed my medical history in the lobby in front of other patients. I also found that they listed diagnoses on my medical record in which I was never informed of the diagnose

I just had the best experience with Dr Pasternak's office. As an avid ultra runner I found myself with some serious knee issues while traveling over Holiday break. I found myself 2000 miles from home not only not able to walk, but in incredible pain. After three days of agony and self medicating, I called this office asking what to do, within an hour they had returned my call, and had me scheduled for an X-Ray, MRI and appointment with orthopedic surgeon. These guys rock...
