Patient, understanding, and polite
I made an appointment for a physical after my husband went to see Dr. Lam and he had a positive experience. Both of us felt Dr. Lam took the time to listen to us thoroughly, assess the situation, and provide a plan for follow-up. He was polite and efficient, I wasn't waiting more than 5 minutes. We will definitely be making him our primary physician.

Dr. Lam is not up to Fairfax Family Practice standards. I saw Dr. Lam for a yearly physical for my one year old. I was waiting in the exam room for over 35 minutes. When he did finally come in no mention or apology for keeping me waiting. More concerning even though this is my second son, Dr Lam waisted much of my time asking me non medical questions about who lives in our home with us, whether we have guns in the home, are stairwells blocked off, etc. These are safety questions and there a time and place for all of that, but please doc, stick to the medicine moving forward. I didn’t drive to see a doctor, wait over 35 minutes to have you ask me about how child proofed my house is or isn’t (I have two toddlers, it is).
