*The staff was a mixed bag of fake smiles and dirty looks to genuine compassion hid under a facade of indifference. *In Dr. Kolodny's opinion I am disposable trash to be tossed out on the curb. *He made it clear that as a psychiatrist it is not his job to take into consideration my feelings or my family's history of Depression and Mental illness. *He disregarded my medical history, the medication I'm currently on for congenital neurological disorders, and my health in general. *It was also made clear that being a patient with con. autoimmune disease that causes severe physical pain that I am less than. That being born weak I deserve to be treated as such. *He sees chronic pain patients as nothing more than collateral damage in PROP's overzealous crusade against opiate related therapy. To him all Chronic Cancer Pain Patients and Chronic Non-Cancer Pain Patients are addicts that need to be disposed of. Dr. Kolodny SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE ANY KIND OF MEDICINE.

I don't know whether the bile this man has written on chronic pain is born out of pure evil and a desire for your fellow man and woman to suffer, or born out of an ignorance bestowed upon you via your internalized ableism. But let me tell you a little bit about chronic pain. I took one of your other Big Pharma Frankeinstein poisons called Ciprofloxacin at the behest of another sociopathic doctor. It tore the tendons in my ankles to shreds in multiple places. I went from runner to wheelchair overnight. It has required multiple surgeries and grueling rehabilitation for a year and counting. I WOULD NOT BE ALIVE WITHOUT OPIOID PAIN MEDICATION. IF YOU HAD YOUR WAY, I WOULD BE SIX FEET UNDER. You have DEFILED your oath to Do No Harm and you should resign and go thoroughly reflect on the misery you've caused. I don't wish chronic pain on anyone, but if you lived my life for one day, it would teach you more than what decades of textbook medicine mistaught you.

I'm not sure what this guy is qualified for but it sure isn't treating pain. Inflicting it maybe but alleviating it no! This guy seems to me to be some sort of activist. I'm guessing he gets paid big bucks for testifying against his fellow physicians and pharma. If you complain about your lack of pain care he labels you an addict or a paid shill for the pharma industry. Says pain is all in your head basically. This guy definitely has an agenda but it's not to help patients suffering from painful conditions.

Based on his education, experience ...he has no justification to comment nor participate as someone who has a viewpoint on pain treatment with opioid medications. There are individuals who benefit from this treatment but it is apparent he has no understanding of the wide array of complications, disease and difficulty people suffer from. I suggest he reeducates himself on chronic intractable pain treatment and the benefits of opioid medication in conjunction with other treatments. His opinions are neither justified nor common sense. Look at the significant drop in opioid prescriptions and the lack of a corresponding drop in OD death. It's not the legally prescribed opioids it's the synthetic street drugs, mix of medicines and poor decisions by illicit users of illicit drugs! WAKE UP DOC!

Dr Kolodny is not a compassionate dr. He claims to be a pain specialist but has no data reflecting such a skill. As an ICU RN I knew the info he gave was just lies. He made it seem everyone on opiates is an addict. Said I didn’t need opioids that actually help my pain from an incurable and painful genetic disorder. Wants me off the meds that’s helped for almost 2 decades. He preferred me suffer to help an addict for which I’m not. Very inhumane and should not be in healthcare at all!!!
