I had seen him for regular check ups for several years, and then two years ago ended up in the ER for a very large ovarian cyst. Because I was getting married soon he said we needed to remove it with surgery. After waking up from surgery, he said he was able to remove the cyst and had also found stage four endometriosis throughout my abdomen. He said my ovaries were scarred together and to my uterus and pelvic floor, which he said he was able to free up. His only treatment recommendation was birth control and medically induced menopause, which my husband and I did not pursue. He said I would just have to continue to have surgeries, if we did not do birth control. We then wanted to get pregnant pretty quickly after that, and we tried for a year before getting pregnant. We then miscarried at 11 weeks. Through PT and trying to optimize fertility naturally with a naturopathic doctor, discovered that I had cysts on both ovaries again and a blocked fallopian tube, which was more than likely there before we got pregnant. I went to see Dr. Duke in Post Falls who is an actual specialist in endometriosis. After reading over the op note from my surgery two years ago with Dr. Henneberg, he informed me that none of the endometriosis was actually removed, and the cyst was only drained instead of fully removed, making it easier to fill up with fluid again. The op note reported and documented that I had stage four endometriosis and scarring everywhere through my abdomen, however, we were not given a referral to an endometriosis specialist and made to believe that he had cleared out the endometriosis and that everything was OK. He left all of the endometriosis in there which lead to one of my fallopian tubes being blocked, and I have to have another surgery with Dr. Duke to have all of the endometrial tissue excised and might lose a fallopian tube. All of this could have been avoided if he would have referred us to an endometriosis specialist two years ago. More than likely would not have had a blocked fallopian tube with repeated cysts and potentially we might not have miscarried. Dr. Duke also informed us that birth control will never manage. Endometriosis can make things worse. I am sure Dr. Henneberg is great at delivering babies, and doing hysterectomies, however, if you have endometriosis or even suspect that you might have endometriosis, I would NOT recommend seeing Dr. Henneberg.

Dr. Andy has been my GYN for 9 years and has delivered 2 babies for me. He is so compassionate and thorough. He has an excellent bedside manner in making sure you understand all possible conditions, outcomes, and options. I had used a different practice for my first baby and it was a night and day difference, so glad I found Dr. Andy!!
