worst doctor ever!
this is by far the worst/laziest doctor if your child isn’t vaccinated he doesn’t care for them at all it took for me to change my son doctor for him to get the correct/proper treatment for something he was dealing w/ since months old && now finally getting resolved at the age of 3 ( not interested in getting into detail ) but , something so minor that I KNEW what it was && he assumed it was something different && brushed it off && comes to find out the moment i changed his doctor his new doctor CONFIRMED that the condition is exactly what i said it was . . . . shame on YOU MR.HALPERN!!!!!

Terrible doctor! No stars at all for this doctor! Doctor Andrew Halpern lied on a report and withheld information from me. Told me in person my son was exceeding expectations, growing above average and growing well yet wrote on the report that he has a disorder and is developing delayed. None of this was communicated with me before or after the appt. Then a referral was sent to another office which caught me off guard when they called to schedule about something i was unaware about. Doctor Andrew withheld information and said my son was agitated when my son was super happy during the entire appt. When asked to speak to Andrew about this he refused to see me and speak to me about it. Very unprofessional!!!! Do NOT RECOMMEND!

I wish he could be my doctor! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
I love the staff at Keech Pediatrics. I have two children, my son who has Autism goes more regularly to Dr. Halpern. It all starts with Lisa who is the receptionist & is in charge of referrals, she is wonderful, funny, professional and genuine. I love Dr. Halpern, he is very relaxed and genuine when he comes in and speaks with us. He is funny and gets my son to really relax a bit but is very honest with him and calls him out when he is not doing what he is supposed to. He is understanding with my questions and really explains everything to me and to him depending on if it is something he really needs to be told and understand. I wish they had later hours like Advent Health, but he is incredible.

Dr. Halpern is a funny guy. I was so nervous for my son’s first appointment, but after meeting him I realized there was nothing to fear. My informed choices as a parent have been respected and as a result I also welcome and respect his expertise. For this reason alone, automatic 5 stars. I haven’t had many doctors myself like this - so when you find one, you hold on. No fighting, no belittling- just simple and pure respect. He listens to questions and does not rush you. Staff have been friendly every time and have had no issue with scheduling. We had a family member visit that was sick and he told us to be cautious and what temperature to look out for. Suggested taking rectal temperature and made sure we knew to go to the ER (not urgent care, as a previous reviewer wrote. If he suggested this to them, he has since corrected).

Can be off-putting, but highly knowledgeable!
Halpern has been seeing my children since each left the NICU; I trust him 100% with my children's' well being and health. Halpern has a dry sense of humor from my experience with him over the years, which can be off-putting at first if misunderstood, but he's well versed in old school pediatric treatments. Once your baby ages into a toddler then Halpern's personality begins to shine; he's great with my special needs toddler (who detests medical environments and having vitals taken). Halpern is a skeptical pediatrician, not because he refuses to listen to parent's concerns, but rather out of precaution of misdiagnosing young, small children. Many concerns can be the symptoms of an array of conditions for children that cannot communicate; thus, Halpern typically tends to monitor children's percentiles and the overall display of symptoms/appearance over the course of a few months before he'll officially diagnose (then he will send as many referrals as needed). THE STAFF IS LOVELY!

Dr. Halpern doesn't wear a mask in the rooms. Also, My daughter has been sick for 2 weeks and he blew it off time and time again. He told me to do over the counter and she looks fine. Motherly instincts kicked in when I realized over the counter wasn't working so I called the office. The nurse wrote him a task and put urgent. I checked back in later that day and I was told he left office at noon on Friday and response was "sorry, you can take her to an urgent care(urgent cares don't see pts under 6 months of age BTW) . He never got back to me about the issue and still hasn't called me to check on my daughter. I took her to the ER where I spent 3 hours but I got my answer. she had a little pneumonia starting to form on her cavity wall and immediately started her on meds. Thank god I took her. He does not care about the kids and laughs at every concern a parent has.

He didn't wear a mask! A patient should not have to ask you to put one on. You are supposed to be the medical professional! His physical exam is below standard. Hardly asked my kids anything and gave no teachings. There are plenty of other medical professionals out there who do a better job and care more.
